If you don't like country music you may not like this:cool:

Although the song is American, it supports my sentiment regarding what is happening in the U.K.

I actually think that by translating everything into various immigrant languages we are being more divisive.

Thanks for sharing Busman. I'd never seen that before but by the end of the day, through this magnificent modern communication, will be seen by ~100, then tom, by probably 1,000, and so on! It showed how frustrating it is over here dealing with those actually trying to change our language!

Hola , guess if you ban speaking 'foriegn' you won't be ordering any more Tacos, Burritos, Lasagne or Spaghetti from now on ,or even call in an order for a Pizza or could it be that Americans will be able to use these 'alien' words but the folks whose native language it is are the ones forbidden .

seem to remember from when I took my U S citizenship class I was told that after a vote of the Continental Congress , English was decided on as the 'Language of Govt. by a vote of 52% the other choice being German, and that was in the 1770s/1780s.

8:35am is pronounced “Five and twenty to nine in the morning.”

Is it? Round here it's known as twenty five to nine or "Oi! You're late for school!"
