Ok plenty ... went to Ikea (Warrington, not Ashton :D) Can't believe didn't find a blooming thing I liked ? Did spend a quid on medium hot dog and coffee .. that was good value anyway and not bad at all.

Proceeded to retail park at Bolton, seeking suite ... after 5 furniture stores, found one that could be done in the colour I required, sorta' wine, lovely design in settee and one of those snuggle chairs (larger than normal type chair, smaller than 2 seater) .. perfect. Said would have .. ah, at last !! Moved swatch to different light ... blooming rust colour, not wine.!!!

Still considering .. might fit the bill ... but blood pressure must be rising .. thank god for me medicine .. large glass of wine .. so excuse if a little incoherent right now..

My favourite bingo club has started to use strong plug in spray deodorants to cover up the musty smell which revealed itself after the tobacco smoke stopped masking it. I tried sitting in several areas but there were so many of the blasted things pumping out petrochemicals that I had to leave before the bingo session started. OK -- I AM a smoker but left gasping for air after 15 minutes.

Re: what wound you up today?

Well, we had a very damaging thunderstorm today, had a chainsaw-related mishap, and that's not even the worse. After helping out a few neighbors with storm damage, Joshua and I came home to start cleaning up/repairing around the homestead.

I noticed a couple of blue birds (in one of the nesting boxes around the garden) a bit frazzled over something. As they had 3 babies in the nesting box, I knew something was up.

Got the step ladder and pulled a 4 foot Black Rat Snake out of the nest, after it had feasted on the 3 babies. Joshua was freeking as he really hates snakes. Actually, this one was rather tame and didn't try to bite me once.

Relocated it into the woods and had to listen to the poor mum and dad blue bird looking around for their young. Not sure if it counts as a wide up but kinda wanted to share anyhoo!

thought you were a farmer ? where was your spade to chop the things head off . IMO Snakes have no absolutly no redeemable qualities whatsoever , the only thing they are good for is providing skin for cowboy boots and womens handbags

There was one inappropriate post in that thread, which I noticed has been thankfully removed. I'm just wondering if the two things are connected. I know what time it was posted however, and it wouldn't take a genius to tie the two together, if the times matched.

To do something like that is completly out of order , as others have said, hopefully the moderators can trace this clown and ban him/her from the site
Maybe the owner of the site and the moderators could get-together and review the policy of allowing anonymous karma postings.

Finally found it by pure luck, my son actually managed to answer his mobile to direct me to the exact house...4 lads get into car..then I have to reverse into someones rather grand driveway to turn round, was that worried that i would reverse into the posh double gates in the pitch black so was looking over my left shoulder...didn't spot the wall on the right side and now have a slightly caved in drivers door... and half the paintwork missing!!!:(:o

Got shot(actually hit me) by two kids with an air rifle who were camping out on my local park. I was walking the hound at the time and thankfully they didn't shoot at her and they caused me no injury, other than to totally get my back up/lose my temper/bring my blood to the boil.
What the hell are the parents doing by :

a ) allowing their kids to own/posess one of these air rifles ( I always thought you had to have a license.)
b ) allowing their kids to camp in a park (frequented by all sorts of non entities) overnight unsupervised.

And as a footnote, the little gits gave me a load of lip after challenging them after shooting me, gave a local " Community Officer" a load of lip when they were challenged and then cleared off and left a pile of rubbish where they were camping.
When I was younger (it may be thirty years ago!) morals and virtues were taught as a matter of course. If we stepped out of line to any elder, we'd expect a good clip round the earhole or a kick up the arse. I had to stop myself from administering the same retribution or it would have been me on a charge!!:(:(:(

When I was seventeen I was driving my Dad's car on Jersey. The lanes there are really narrow, with high stone walls. I met a coach full of pensioners, and had to reverse about half a mile up the winding lane to find a space to let it pass. Eventually I found a grand drive way with stone gate posts with eagles on the top. I reversed into one, hearing the back of the car give an almighty concertina crunch. I sat there as the coach passed...with all the pensioners laughing and pointing.:o

I can't remember the excuse I came up with so as not to get told off by my Dad, but it must have been good, because I didn't.:D

Re: what wound you up today?

You were lucky there!!!

I am just so annoyed with myself.. but the height of the wall was below my side window and with it being midnight and pitch black (they really should get some street lights round there), I completely missed it as I was looking over my shoulder making sure I didn't reverse into their gates!!!

Hope I haven't damaged their wall

do you know what really annoys me about shopping, why is it when your stood looking for your beans does someone come and stands right in the way,why is it when you walk around the supermarket, there is loads of unnatended shopping trolleys in your way,so you end up having to move them yourself, why is it when youve finally (hours later) finished your shopping, you have to que up at till half mile long, when there are 30+ tills not in operation,if your the ass that stands in front of someone who is looking for something your an ass,if your that person who leaves there trolley in the middle of the lane take it with you and your an ass too,and as for the que ,the stores an ass for not employing more people, shopping time would be alot less if peeps actually thought about what there doing,oh and i went shopping today just to let you know, thats my rant for today, and i feel alot better

What wound me up today was the woman who wouldn't listen when I said that the council had not paid the drummers to come to Acc Town Centre. She kept going on about the waste of her council tax to pay for it. I kept explaining as patiently as possible that it was all funded by the lottery but she clearly had a beef with the council and wasn't going to accept my word for it.

Chav scum.

We were on the train back from Hebden Bridge today, and it was full of Yorkshire folk going through to Blackpool. An elderly lady asked two ignoramuses if she could sit in one of the two spare seats they had their bags on, and they said no. They would have had the woman stand up all the way to Blackpool, whilst they sat there sprawled out, with their iPods and crappy mags.

The woman got a seat, and the two ill mannered morons got a verbal mauling.:D

I really don't get why morons act like that and not give up their seat....

Must admit I did hold my breath when my eldest son said he was told off by a lady for making a clicking noise with his tongue on the train all the way back from manchester.....

I asked him what his response was...

"I said sorry and that I was doing it without thinking about it, then we had a nice chat!!"

when I said phew...he was rather cross that I thought he would do anything other than apologise!!! :o

I have resurrected this old thread because I had my morning totally ruined by seeing that brazen war criminal Teflon Tony on Good Morning Britain.
He was saying that we needed a second referendum(oh NO we don't) and that there should be Three options on it 1) Remain....hang on we have already voted to leave so that is a non starter.
2) The PM's deal.....
I actually didn't hear the third option as my well aimed shoe hit the TV right where his face was!
Well, no....that last bit was wishful thinking on my part...but I truly did not hear the last option as I stormed out of the living room to complete my ablutions(before breakfast-unheard of) and to get away from the ugly mush of that gurning loon.

It really spoiled my day....put me in a bad mood for most of the day.

So what spoiled your day today?

Well, nothing, in fact the opposite happened for me, I do a bit of gardening for my lad while he's away unfortunately for the past few months back problems have prevented this.
Today weather was lovely, I felt fit (well fit enough to do a lttle).
So went to the shed to get my boots, grandaughter had filled them with bird seed.
Shook it out, but still had to take them off now and then to get rid of the remains.
How long has she waited for this prank to work without saying anything?
Just wait 'til I see her, the Minx!

Bliar apparently persuaded Whitehall officials to keep secret his post-PM advisory work. Primarily to protect his clients, foreign governments and international companies. A judge has now instructed the information to be made available. Bliar - liar, warmonger, and more.

Allegedly.
I cannot put into words just how much loathing and distrust I have for this oxygen thief.
