revenge...how do you do yours?

something happened to me the other week where i thought i needed to get revenge on someone who had got pretty close to me and then dumped on me from a great height, ive thought of all ways of giving this person as much grief and heartache as they have given me, and i WILL get my revenge

are you revengefull?

if so whats your favourite thing to do to someone who hurts you?

If it's a man here's a suggestion:
Collect all the photos you can of men of varying shapes and sizes, put them in an envelope with a covering letter and send them to him.

'I am sending these photos because I cant remember what you look like,
will you please pick yours out and send the rest back'

Re: revenge...how do you do yours?

No I don't do revenge any more....I've grown older and somehow revenge isn't worth it....remember, what goes round comes round. I just say to myself 'Lord, please make my enemies ridiculous'.......I am not asking for them to get hurt physically...or even mentally for that matter......I just want them to do something really daft in front of people who matter to THEM. You would be surprised how many times i have seen it work. Oh, and when you see it work, you have to say 'Thank you' (yeah, i know it sounds daft....but give it a try).

Can't see the point of going out of my way to get revenge on anyone, rather make better use of my time on this earth. If during that time the chance of revenge comes along in passing then I would take it :)

the thing is simple you keep STUM, Wait a while,be friendly without going OTT,then strike,so they would never know it was you, then sit at home and laugh like ****, here endeth the lesson.:D;)

Re: revenge...how do you do yours?

I think revenge is a waste of time and energy. I grew out of it a long time ago. Let life take care of things and just move on. If you show that you need to waste so much of your own time on someone who is no longer interested in you, who is really the winner there? You or them? If you totally ignore them and move on to better things then you are the winner because they are no longer wasting any of your precious time.

cashman 17-07-2007 16:09

Re: revenge...how do you do yours?

cannot agree willow, i treat people as they treat me.

Margaret Pilkington 17-07-2007 17:27

Re: revenge...how do you do yours?

Spot on Willow.....and Cashy, I think it is better to treat people how you would WANT to be treated.
Saying that, many years ago I had had a big row with hubby and thought I would teach him a lesson....I starched all of his underpants...I mean like 3 boxes of Robin starch.......they were like cardboard....couldn't be folded, had to be bent.....he got the message....but who do you think got the job of washing all the starch out of those grunnies....yeah, you guessed it - it was yours truly......so I guess it wasn't really a win - more like a score draw!
Now I am older I realise that there are very few people who are worth my spending time trying to get one up on them.....life will do it for me. All I have to do is wait.

WillowTheWhisp 17-07-2007 17:59

Re: revenge...how do you do yours?

A few months ago I heard a talk by someone about choosing not to be offended. He explained that no-one else can ever actually offend you if you choose not to be offended by them. I'm not very good at explaining it but it did make perfect sense to me. If you dwell on whatever it is they have done to you it doesn't actually affect them at all but it does affect you so why waste time doing that to yourself?

cashman 17-07-2007 18:20

Re: revenge...how do you do yours?

Spot on Willow.....and Cashy, I think it is better to treat people how you would WANT to be treated. -----------agree totally with that statement margaret n i do, its when i am not treated like that, then theve made a big error as far as i'm concerned, n i never dwell on it, just believe every dog has his day. simple as that, i can wait years without bothering in the slightest, but when an oppertunity arises which it nearly always does, game set n match.

I find the best way to 'get revenge' on someone who's hurt you, is to just get on with your life and enjoy it the best way you can.
I don't always practice what I preach, but I try to most of the time. :)

cashman 17-07-2007 18:48

Re: revenge...how do you do yours?

would just add, revenge should only be sought for very serious things, not piddling bits of arguement/grief etc, most people i suspect view their own dispute as serious, when in fact after time n reflection it wasn,t,

Re: revenge...how do you do yours?

I generally work on what goes around comes around. If someone has done you harm then you generally find that it will come back to them, likewise if you do something good it usually comes back in spades. I don't concern myself with personal revenge, its a self destructive behaviour

WillowTheWhisp 17-07-2007 19:29

Re: revenge...how do you do yours?

Unfortunately the people so intent on revenge cannot see how self destructive it is can they?

Re: revenge...how do you do yours?

Well, I don't think anybody has done anything yet where I would wish to seek revenge .. at least not that I've never noticed if they did intend to hurt

'Cept a certain 'employer' and that was easy .. just took the business away with me .. :D

Re: revenge...how do you do yours?

I can't remember taking any revenge on anyone in the last number of years. I can still wear myself thinking about it so best to just let it go.

I get along with most everyone I come into contact with so rarely get, or cause, wrong(ed).

If none of that works, I guess I just burn their house down!;)

I believe that what goes around comes around, however, there have been the odd occassion when someone has done me wrong and after many years, if it hasn't come back around to them, I've given it a bit of push.

i got left for dead 9 years ago i moved on and away. for the sake of my wife and kids it was hard moving to a new area for all of us call me a chicken or what you want but for me to get revenge would have been to finish what he tried doing to me so sometimes it isnt worth it!

Brothers-in-Arms i think bagpuss?:D

Re: revenge...how do you do yours?

ummm tough one this, i can honestly say there are only 3 people i hate in my world. HATE being a very strong word but these are people that have actually hurt me or my family personally .as for wanting revenge it really would only apply to that catagory ..HATE .. and not someone whose just put my nose out of joint .. and upset me ..
I have got my revenge on two of those and it turned out well but as for saying how i cant do that because i would never like to brag about it ...or make a fuss because it was personal ..
on the other hand if your bloke has another woman and you find hes bought her a bottle of perfume ..well you could always empty the contents out and pee in the bottle hehehe.... my advice flashy is let it go unless its hurt you or your little un personally .. and not just emotionally .. hope you sort it out ..

My interest in ancient history caused me explore ancient religion, including ---- ancient celtic magic ritual. Twice in my long life I have resorted to spellcasting ----it worked !! , but it spooked me good style. I would only resort to it if provoked in the extreme, because there is always a risk that it will rebound.
