Oooh yes, I love the stuff they have. Very cheap compared to same stuff in other shops too.

flashy 04-10-2007 18:27

Re: Diamonds & Pearls

not as cheap as Quarters in Blackburn, but still very very nice :D

Re: Diamonds & Pearls

Looks like a decent shop, obviously not my cuppa but it's nice not to have yet another Phone shop/Pound shop there!

Just wish music zone could've stayed there :(

Re: Diamonds & Pearls

Been in with my mother to the one in bury and it just seemd to sell cheap tat. And everything just seemed to be thrown on the shelfs too. Not very professional looking.

The amount i spend does effect the things for sale in the shop. And it wasnt meant nasty towards you so pipe down shazzles

Re: Diamonds & Pearls

Didn't go that far down Broadway today, will have a look next time I go down town.

Re: Diamonds & Pearls

They have a perfume bottle in there, exactly the same as one in Ogden's. In Ogden's it's £5. In D&P it's £3.99.

Not very gothy but a few slightly gothy things.

Re: Diamonds & Pearls

Lots of overpriced tat; I also wish it was still Music Zone (I would still have a job that doesn't drive me up the wall !)

flashy 10-10-2007 17:49

Re: Diamonds & Pearls

well SOME people like that TAT

WillowTheWhisp 10-10-2007 17:52

Re: Diamonds & Pearls

Some of it is very nice tat. ;) Unfortunately as much as some of us miss the music shop it seems like Accrington just can't support one. Look at all the other things which open and then end up closing down. I miss the music shop and I miss the juice bar but I still like the sparkly stuff in D&P.

I saw this place today while having a quick Ciggie mith my mum. It looks very sparkly.... unfortunately I didn't get to go in side for a look, but I am hoping to next time I go into town!!

Haven't been in yet, but walked past yeasterday and it looked very shiney! Its probably good for if you need a specific thing to match an outfit. If your only going to wear it with that outfit then you don't want to spend a lot of money.

Yeah thats what I was thinking Lolly!! will be good for things just like that!!

Re: Diamonds & Pearls

I had a look in there over the weekend and thought that for something you might wear once it was expensive; earrings at £12 -£15 for example. The stuff isn't even silver/ silver plated, and not a diamond or a pearl to be seen; is that trade descriptions territory ?

flashy 10-10-2007 18:21

Re: Diamonds & Pearls

if people choose to buy it, they OBVIOUSLY know it isnt silver then let them, no one is making ANYONE buy it

WillowTheWhisp 10-10-2007 22:17

Re: Diamonds & Pearls

I remember when Woollies had individual stalls with the shop assistants in the middle of them. One stall had little 6d toys. It was all divided into seperate compartments with glass panels joined at the corners with sort of chrome clips. They had different toys in each compartment. I used to buy animals. I'd get a new one every weekend with my spending money. And there was that roasted peanuts machine where they came out all hot and greasy.
