Hmmm, I seem to remember you wanted to celebrate the Christmas spirit about the 25th of November last year, now we are just into October!

Christmas and shopping? The second word has to be OFF!

They have put new measures in place since that happened. I always go with Park Hampers, have done for years.

Nope haven't started yet!! but I am gonna start next week!!

I always think " oh there is ages off yet, I'll be ok " then before you know it, it's the 20th december, the bills still need paying, the pressie list is still mounting, and the sleepless nights are threatening!! lol

Ahhhhh the joys of Christmas :D

I always enjoy Xmas shopping with mum. Xmas shopping with her usually means, One pressie, 1 pint, 1 pressie, another pint and on and on til we are staggering home with shopping bags :D

Re: christmas shopping

I've bought one so far, a Tickle Me Elmo TX Limited Edition. Cost a bloody fortune but sooooo worth it. I'm going to get some bits next week. Still don't know what Harry's main present will be, i'm thinking about a drum kit but sending it to my Dads! So I don't have to put up with the noise.

Re: christmas shopping

Xmas shopping has become more tricky for me with having two boys aged 14 and other will be 16 Xmas day and they never seem to be able to decide what they want.

At least when they were younger you could decide what they were getting and they were happy with it. Even stocking fillers have become a nightmare and a lot more expensive too.

I usually start shopping after my birthday on 1st nov and try to have it done by end of Nov...but hasn't happened that way for about the past 3 or 4 years :(

I am definately with willow hate shopping when I don't know what I want to buy...feel like I am just aimlessly walking around shop after shop trying to get ideas!!!!

MargaretR 10-10-2007 17:42

Re: christmas shopping

I only have to get 5 big prezzies and 7 little stocking fillers.
I always give cash for the 5 big ones.

I was recently given £20 in High St vouchers by Fraser Eagle
I was chauffered to their Padiham offices to join a 'focus group' to give my opinion on their new brochure and tours - free butties and £20 vouchers :D
The vouchers have been spent on 4 of the stocking fillers - so only 3 little prezzies left to buy

panther 10-10-2007 18:34

Re: christmas shopping

not started the prezzie bit but started the food hamper!

£21+ in ASDA vouchers

Is it the shop tree or a sample of what they have for sale? Can't say I've noticed any in the Accy store.

I ordered all christmas presents for my children online from Toys R Us last week. They were delivered last Friday for a £4.95 delivery fee and are now hidden away upstairs.

Marvellous. :D

I made the mistake of visiting the store in person a couple of years ago.
What a ghastly experience. Never again. Get online.
