Fine for dirty takeaway

Record 7 000 Fine For Dirty Takeaway (from Lancashire Telegraph)

There will be loads liek that around here i think. You go in and get served by an over weight sweaty dirty t shirt wearing dark guy and you see the nice crispy let... no sorry that should be stringy browning lettuce that forms part of what they call "fresh salad". If thats what they call fresh then thanks god i dont eat from dodgy places. Anyone else know of any bad ones in accrington?

I know a fair few dodgy ones round our way... but is the colour of the guy really an issue? Think not.

There's probably quite a lot we should adopt this policy from Blackburn and start sorting them out before somebody becomes seriously ill through contamination of their food.

I only use one or two take aways, zorbes in Clayton and Rino's in Ossy. They seem fine to me! :p

I mentioned the colour the lettuce goes after a while too, does that bother you aswell? Or is it because i used words that some people who have nothing better to do than pick at silly things that dont matter see as a tad racist? He is a guy and he is dark skinned so where is the problem?

i dont see a problem with you saying dark skinned and i reckon there is quite a few places like that in blackburn.

You were talking about a hypothetical bad take away. Fair enough. All the characteristics are there - bad food, unhygienic service etc. Fair enough. But why is the employee's skin colour of any significance?
I know of many chippies, chineses, cantoneses etc owned by white people & yellow people (and actually one that is blue) that are just as bad as any others.
The employee's skin colour does not matter. You made a point of putting it there - no need.

It's obvious you're just looking for any opportunity to be openly racist. You must lead a sheltered life.

I know. I'm not saying it was outrageously insulting. But he made a point of stating the skin colour of his hypothetical character, unjustifiably.

& I've got a great life, thank you very much.

But did they shut down the shop as soon as they investigated and found it that bad?

I have seen on these TV programmes where Council investigators tell them things are wrong and allow them to stay open. I think if they find anything wrong with the hygiene etc of food places they should be closed instantly and inspected 24 hours later to see if they have corrected the issue. The Council inspectors always appear to soft on the TV. I suspect they are even softer in real life when several million viewers are not watching them at work.

I'm sorry, you'll have to go somewhere else for some self importance today - but it's not you I have a problem with. It's merely the fact that you mentioned the employee's skin colour when it isn't at all relevant to how good/bad the place is.
Funny how all the racists (oo whoops, sorry - patriots) come out of their holes now isn't it.

OK, look. It's obviously not the same as knowing the PM's name you utter tool. You know the Man Utd manager's name, and the Prime Minister's name because they are in the media spotlight. Now, I don't think I am just yet, so let's see how you got my name... ahhh right that's it, you looked it up on my profile on an internet forum and found it. Yes... of course you're totally normal...

You need to get over me Aleks, if only for your own sake. You know what they say... If you love something, let it go. If it comes back it was meant to be. You must let me make my own mistakes in life Alex, if the special bond between us really is meant to be we shall meet one day and frolic through the forests hand in hand wearing sequins... my God how we will frolic... and all will be beautiful.

LMAO

I hadnt bothered looking at this thread before cos I dont really do the takeaway thing- but cant believe what I've missed.

Dont believe I am racist, or even overly patriotic (God knows this country's in one hell of a state) but not too sure what was wrong with a dark skinned guy working behind a counter of a takeaway. And being described as dark skinned.

Or are we saying only white people work behind the counter of crap takeaways and only dark/black/blue/green people work in good ones. Maybes this is racial iscrimination in its own right and we should report all white people working in good takeaways as they obviously should not be there.

Then again who gives a flying doo dah what colour the guy (or gals) skin was when you have the cr*ps and cant leave the toilet for two days???
