Question for Cyfr

That unamed quote in your signature, It's not by that well known Conservative, Lord Archer by any chance is it?

Quote:

"If it falls to me to start a fight to cut out the cancer of bent and twisted journalism in our country with the simple sword of truth and the trusty shield of British fair play, so be it. I am ready for the fight. The fight against falsehood and those who peddle it. My fight begins today. Thank you and good afternoon."
:D

Or perhaps another renowned Conservative figure:-
Jonathan Aitken (he was only done for Perjury!)

Re: Question for Cyfr

With the Conservative shadow cabinet bringing Aitken back into the fold, to head a task force looking at prison reform, perhaps they'll also bring back John Major and Edwina Currie to lead a similar task force on family values, or Cecil Parkinson on parent's rights, or....

Well there's really no end to the possibilities.

Happy, sleazy, Tory days.

Perhaps cashy, though I sometimes get the feeling he took the rap for someone else.

Something along these lines, look we can't have XXX being done for this so, if you will jump on the cerimonial sword and sacrifice your career, we will reward you by making sure you are kept in a comfortable job for life.;)

Just found this thread (somehow) and yes, it was Mr Aitken. He was actually at the conference, asking Cherie Blair questions about jail from an 'informed perspective'. :D
