Re: Favorite Christmas film .....
When I was a kid used to love all the Laurel & Hardy & Marx Brothers films they used to put on!:)
Now for me it would'nt be Christmas without National Lampoons Christmas Vacation:) or Home Alone:) I would'nt be more surprised if I woke up with my head sewn to the carpet:eek: |
Re: Favorite Christmas film .....
None!
Because all five channels show the same dreary old films that were shown last year and the year before and the year before that. My Xmas Day film viewing will start with a handful of Tom & Jerry cartoons, followed by a couple of Laurel & Hardy films with the main feature being the latest Harry Potter film on DVD. Crisps, salted peanuts and ice cream will be to hand as will a decent brew. Admission free Pay at the door Bring your own seats And sit on the floor. |

Re: Favorite Christmas film .....
Okay, a bit sappy but I like the musical A Christmas Carol with I believe Albert Finney and The Little Drummer Boy. Oh yeah and A Christmas Story (about a kid wanting a Red Rider BB gun for Christmas). That one is a classic.

Re: Favorite Christmas film .....
my favourite Christmas movie/film has to be Joyeux Noel Joyeux No& - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Cynical old sod that I am, each time I watch it I end up skrieking , its about the Christmas day football match between the Scots ,French and Germans on no-mans land in 1914, a great soundtrack ........ the Silent Night in English, French and German would choke anyone up, I know it sounds depressing (and it has the scots guy from eastenders in it who used to thump his wife) but its a great movie/film which in my opinion deserves to be shown on television every Christmas . just a note , not that it applies to this website since i assume all users are able to read but the film was a joint British ,French, German production so subtitles are required for the French and German roles also agree with Brians earlier post 'a christmas story' is a good holiday movie, usually shown on a continous 36 hour loop by one of our local stations , that along with the 48 hour burning 'yule log' for those who live in apartments without fireplaces |
Re: Favorite Christmas film .....
for me it has to be THE GREAT ESCAPE, (one day steve mcqueen will get over that barbed wire fence)
|
Re: Favorite Christmas film .....

Re: Favorite Christmas film .....
I'm with Sparky and Slinky, it has to be Miracle on 34th Street. It does actually make me wonder....... After watching I BELIEVE.
|
Re: Favorite Christmas film .....
Miracle on 34th Street will admit to watching it in the middle of summer. Watched it the other night and The Santa Clause. But seeing as no one else as mentioned it White Christmas. Always watch that part of the christmas tradition it was mums favourite film no matter how many times she'd seen it whenever it came on telly she watched it. Bought her the video she wore it out watching it!!! So i bought her the dvd. And i still watch it. Havent watched it this year ................ yet!!!!:D:D:D
By the way Sara i asked that question on another forum after watching it ......... turned out to be a big debate!!!! |
