In that case she should have made his tea before he went, the kick off time was 6pm. She's had all day to go in to labour and make his tea, probably been sat watching the omnibus editions of Corrie and Eastenders :p |

Re: Go Home!!!!
how sellfish of her nine months to plan and picks day he is at the match
|
Re: Go Home!!!!
If she is anything like my wife was when she was close to labour, he will have gone to the match to give her a chance to do the 'nest building' thing.
There is nothing worse than to sit there with her asking for the fifteenth time if you could just lift your feet so she can get the industrial sized vacuum cleaner to run over the same piece of carpet again! http://www.vpsingles.com/pics/vacuum.gifhttp://www.vpsingles.com/pics/chair.gif |
Re: Go Home!!!!
Thing is tho they drew yesterday so he now has a trip to Newcastle to look forward to....
|
Re: Go Home!!!!
Maybe he wasn't expecting his wife to go into labour that day.
She could have been weeks away from her due date. My two were both three weeks early. :) |
Re: Go Home!!!!
Babies come when they are ready, normally between 37-42 weeks gestation. They only give 40 weeks as a due date because it is a rough average between 37 & 42. Most women are not satisfied with being told that "your baby could come in January or February," they want a date to look forward to.
At least this bloke wasn't totally incommunicado and got the message. I feel sorry for the poor beggars who work abroad when their other half goes into labour prematurely........they nearly always miss it.:) |

Re: Go Home!!!!
My Mum often tells the story of when she went into labour with me, she told my Dad who was watching Steptoe and Son at the time that she needed to get to the hospital and he asked, 'can it wait till the end of this?'

I have seen this happen a few times though, especially when baby is premature. |
