Autistic Children.....
 

THIS FILM CLIP has been made for an American audience and its purpose is to raise funds for Autistic children.

There are plenty of similar charities closer to home that are just as worthwhile if you feel the need to help financially but I am putting this on for two reasons.........

Firstly, it just may give someone kinder thoughts the next time they see a special needs child in the street whether they be Downs Syndrome or any of the other mutitudes of mental and physical illnesses......

OR, Maybe you just need a reason for a weep tonight :)

What a moving video and such a beautiful girl. The sadness of autism is that it is not visually obvious and are many times labelled as naughty kids when it is just frustration at being unable to communicate what they need!!!

Speaking as a teaching assistant at a school for children with special needs, thank God that my local education authority is getting something right. There is no waiting list for children to get the therapy they need, or payment of a fee.......yet.

My friend suffers from Aspergers syndrome and I can understand why young children suffering from such a thing may be wrongfully labelled as just a naughty child.

I think ALL autism is neglected rather than just in children, and its not as well known of as it should be.

How are you diagnosed with autism, how is it tested for?
