Re: Emmerdale

It's only a soap, but powerful stuff, I turned it off, when you have seen it happen, you have no wish to see even a fictitious one.

Re: Emmerdale

No, cos when she came down stairs shouting, I thought, naaaa he will be ok, they wouldn't do that in a soap :(

Re: Emmerdale

just had a look on itv.com......
it really shocks ya doesnt it.....i went all tingly:(...not very nice at all

Re: Emmerdale

I agree, but they are getting less happy endings and more sinister in the striving for audiences. We are a nation of hope, without hope there would be nothing, and I guess most of us, even knowing it was ficticious, were hoping that 'Daniel' suddenly started breathing.

That is because you are a nice person, the programme writers however are becoming more nasty by the episode!

good idea!!

I remember when I was pregnant with our first son. My hubby was an undertaker and one day they had to bury a baby ...... they told him that he wasn't allowed to do the funeral because I was due in 2 month.

It was quite emotional-poor Jack saw it and said "baby......gone"........i think its a bit much for a programme that starts at 7,suppose it stuff that happens in real life-unfortunately.

I saw on GMTV this morning, Emmerdale brought in FSID and families who have gone through cot death so it could be filmed as realistically and sensitively as possible, with the hope of heightening awareness even more

Re: Emmerdale

I didn’t watch it; I went upstairs to watch the Everton match… I did pop down for supplies, that’s when I saw the woman in grief and saw the emergency crew working on the child. Very emotive stuff and quite distressing, not something I can watch. My cousin loss a child in a similar way some time back and my thoughts are with them as it must have brought back terrible memoirs. God forbid that this should happen to anyone we know or anyone at all, it must be the worse possible thing to happen to outlive a child, let alone a baby.

Just watching this now...gotta admit its getting to me. Couple of years ago it wouldnt have bothered me, but because of my little lad (hes only 11month old but he is so much cooler than me already lol) it really does upset me quite a bit. Think i might turn over before i really do start to wimp out and reach for the tissues.
