Such an awful month. Although I told 'im indoors that shoving the hoover into the computer was a really bad thing he went ahead with it and I've been climbing the walls ever since. Believe me he has suffered too!!

The best deal I could get here was a new tower with a flat screen monitor for 720 euros but as it was Windows XP I felt that it wasn't worth it. After thinking for four weeks that the whole thing was doomed it seems that a new memory card did the trick!

I'm back online and it's great!!

Thanks Rindy. No photo comp, no quiz, no emails, etc.........believe me I've been tearing my hair out. I must have read sixteen books this month and have been sitting sort of 'brain dead' watching television programmes which I'd normally ignore.

I tried the Internet Shop but words don't seem to flow in there........must be the lack of coffee and ciggies!! I'll sleep better tonight knowing that all is well!

I don't know how you coped.

I was off line for three days before Christmas, and felt as if I'd lost a vital organ.

Mind you, I did clean out a couple of drawers, so it wasn't all bad.:D

Welcome back.

The internet is my lifeline to the world - couldn't survive without it.

So much so that, when my PC started behaving strangely recently, I felt threatened- have ordered another - if this one doesn't die, at least I will feel safe :D

Well, the poor old thing didn´t last long and we had to go and buy a new system. Another ten days or so of tearing my hair out. Nothing worse than looking at the lights on the router knowing that you can´t connect.

I now have Vista Ultimate. Having seen quite a few negative reports on here I´m a bit wary but I´ll give it a go and report my findings. So nice to be back.

I must admit i was a huge TV fan but over the last few years if the TV blew up i`d be annoyed but if the laptop ever died i`d be going spare, both me and the missus are never far away from it, even the kids 4 and nearly 1 are getting into it!
