You got me thinking with this one, so not being able to sleep I though Id take a look into it (how sad am I) apparantly "clout" means clothing (I too knew it as a swipe round the ear!) so basically, for anyone unsure it means never throw out your clothes (am guessing they mean winter clothes and not all clothes :eek:) til the end of may.

white rabbits everyone.......... i always knew it as don't discard your "liberty bodice" (or vest) till may was over because it was summer then
