That Cat Again!

As some of you will know from this post http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/f...ted-27679.html

I have been planning to build a train set for some time, this past few weeks I have been building a baseboard and planning the lay out of the tracks etc.

The cat has taken a great deal of interest in this and had ensured that she gets in the way and also hides as many of my tools as possible.

She is a very good jumper and although the baseboard is above waist height she gets up there and moves anything she can.

Yesterday, I was painting the baseboard and had shut her out of the room, my back was to the door and after a while of her scratching and shouting to get in all went quiet, peace at last I thought, Oh no, how wrong can you be!
Anyhow I was laying the paint on very thickly so that ridges and uneven ground would be represented, she had gone quiet because she had managed to open the door and sneaked in, seeing an opportunity she ran past me and leapt for the top of the board landing perfectly except, it was just where I had been painting and with the coat of paint being as thick as it was, all I saw was a surprised cat sliding past me and falling off the end, she picked herself up and ran out of the room leaving paw prints across the carpet.

I was left alone to continue my task in peace after that.

This morning however she had her revenge, when starting to lay the tracks to add to the realism I had bought some tiny gravel to use as ballast between the rails.
I had poured this stuff out on one corner of the board and went to make a brew on returning I found the cat spreading this grit everywhere then realised the little swine had used this gravel as a substitute for her litter tray so I now have some rather poor imitation logs built into the scenery!

Anyone want to buy some second hand gravel for use on a model train layout?

Oh Less.......I am laughing so much.
I should like to give you Karma for my daily chuckle but I have to do what the cat did with the gravel...spread it around a bit first.
Keep it up you are a tonic.

That's what I said Less....I know you have an aversion to all forms of cooking and cleaning, and I don't mean that in a derogatory way.

It's a shame the cat can't cook.

You should have let the cat watch from the beginning then it wouldn't have been as curious. :D

I see you didn't manage to re-home your cat then. Did no-one want it?

It sounds like it's a right handful.
