old games console?
just been having a conversation with someone about old games consoles we had when we where young
does anyone have a clue what sort of console this person is describing? had one of those very early game machines with the football ,tennis Shaz says: amiga? Shaz says: or a commodore? before them Shaz says: lol i thought the amiga was the first one it was black and white on the tv, just a white bar going up and down the screen Shaz says: yeah i know which game you mean but i cant think which games console it would have been it had a big knob to change the programme Shaz says: that was a joystick no it was a big switch thing it had football , tennis ,skeet , squash that i can remember . skeet, you had a gun to shoot at the screen anyone any ideas? cos i'm stumped |
Re: old games console?
I had something like that - did you have to plug it into the TV. I think it was orange and had cartridges that you put into a slot in the top. Played tennis mostly - basically two square paddles and a square ball.

Re: old games console?
oooooooohhhhhh I had one of those. There was football, tennis and double tennis on it.
You had a controller each and it plugged into your telly. You put batteries into the console and had a round controller each. |
Re: old games console?
bringing back memories for you????
We never had batteries for ours lol |
Re: old games console?
It was a binotone if I remember rightly
|
Re: old games console?
i had a tv game it had 10 games - 8 different ones 2 were practice ones, it had tennis, squash, target practice - where you had to press the button when it hit dead centre otherwise you missed, football, and i cant remember the rest - i got it one year for xmas and i only chucked it out 2 years ago... even though the batteries had leaked in it and wouldnt work. Forgotten what it was called though.
