Is anyone actually like their online persona?

I was told the other day that emamum comes across as quite brazen where as Em is pretty shy if she doesn't know someone..
Talking in chat the other day i found out that people think things about me that arent necessarily true...

anyone else the same?

I have no idea what people think of me, I am me and dont try to be anyone else

Wouldnt mind knowing sometimes though what people did think of me :rolleyes:

I dont see the point in being someone that im not.

And I would like to think that I know you by now what you think of me

(although I did get told initially that you were shy, dont believe that lol)

someone described you Em as 'sound as a pound' to me the other day, so that's not too bad :D (and it wasnt our nik either)

I'm just just myself on here, tell it as I see it, try very hard not to upset people, have always had a great sence of humour which does help on here, because if you haven't your in for some stick, I've always had a saying 'laugh and the world laughs with you, cry and you cry alone' :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

What's this crying thing you talk of??? I have a good sense of humour but sometimes some comments can be a little harsh, even if not meant that way.

isnt the point of an online persona that you can be different? not false, just more like the person you want to be, the one that you think you are in your head? isnt that why sites such as 'second life' are so popular?:updown:

true,but what i mean is online you may be chattier or more confident than in your day to day life especially if your very shy or easily embarrassed,cos you feel safer facing your computer than another person. if were talking to you now i'd be bright red cos i blush really easily:pblush:
