The virtual Grand National

Well, the Grand National was a big success so we need a new race. Welcome to THE VIRTUAL RACE COURSE.

This is how it works.

In the first race there will be 10 horses – the first ten people to come up with horse racing names will be the entrants. Remember it needs to be a good horse racing name like Gayliopoliticus or something – got be something that would sound good if John McCreirick shouted ……..and Gayliopoliticus is coming down the home straight!

As soon as we have our first ten horses – I’ll explain the process of the race itself.

Re: The virtual Grand National

We've actually got 11 horses, but that'll work - seeing as I've no idea if the race will work at all anyway.

So, now we need jockey's

These are the horses

Trainer Bonnyboy with the horse Rainbow Cottage
Trainer Emzy with the horse Romping Home
Trainer Emamum23 with the horse Onthewaytogluefactory
Trainer Royboy39 with the horse West Tip
Trainer Bernadette with the horse Honeypot
Trainer Garinda with the horse The Kings Horse
Trainer Shillelagh with the horse Spuggelicious
Trainer Ber999T with the horse Bluelighttaxi
Trainer Nikkival with the horse Norfolk 'n' Good
Trainer Jaysay with the horse The Peter Principle
Trainer Miss Kitty with the horse Kittykixass

So all of you trainers need to find a jockey - willing volunteers can put their names forward or trainers can go out looking for a jockey. Obviously you can't be a jockey if you're already a trainer.

Yes, Cyfr is riding the King's horse for me, and is now on a strict training programme.

No booze, no pies, no fun.:D

I'm going out in the sun though, I think the lobster look is a good one, so long as I don't get boiled in a pan.

Just make sure you are wearing big shorts, and not a thong, otherwise mounting The King's Horse could be painful.:D

I was under the impression that the trainer had to provide the 'Silks'
That could be interesting. :hidewall:

Aye, but may I add (BEA's) to Honeypot for our stallion's name! :>) And again, it is in my contract not to wear one of those silly helmets!

BEA

Thanks, now I feel really popular! Wheres my Jockey??

garinda 11-05-2008 09:28

Re: The virtual Grand National

What happens next?

I've got Cyfr on a strict diet, and jumping over garden fences in Hull, in readiness for the off.

I'm not wearing a pantomime horse's costume, it's much too hot, and if we have to I'm being the horse's head, and Cyfr can be the horse's....back end.:D

Re: The virtual Grand National

There are three horses still looking for a rider

Trainer Bonnyboy with the horse Rainbow Cottage
Trainer Emzy with the horse Romping Home – Jockey Grannyclaret
Trainer Emamum23 with the horse Onthewaytogluefactory – Jockey Moon
Trainer Royboy39 with the horse West Tip – Jockey Nickelson
Trainer Bernadette with the horse Honeypot – Jockey LancsYorkYankee
Trainer Garinda with the horse The Kings Horse – Jockey Cyfr
Trainer Shillelagh with the horse Spuggelicious – Jockey Slinky
Trainer Ber999T with the horse Bluelighttaxi
Trainer Nikkival with the horse Norfolk 'n' Good – Jockey Cherokee
Trainer Jaysay with the horse The Peter Principle
Trainer Miss Kitty with the horse Kittykixass – Jockey Lee

If there's no volunteers soon the race will have to start without you three - or someone could drop out and be a jockey for someone else.

grannyclaret 12-05-2008 19:30

Re: The virtual Grand National

Better put myself on a strict diet,,,I think EMZY should have a 1 mile start on everyone else coz shes got a old fat fogey jockey...:banlama::banlama:

Re: The virtual Grand National

i'll ride rainbow for bonnyboy:)

Gayle 13-05-2008 20:49

Re: The virtual Grand National

Right - so Tracy J is the jockey for Rainbow Cottage

Trainer Bonnyboy with the horse Rainbow Cottage - Jockey Tracy J

What we could do with now is either Ber999T or Jaysay to put their horse back in the paddock and one be a jockey for the other.
