Grange Hill
Just watching Grange Hill on CBBC (as you do at 32) and i was wondering when the Londoners turned to Northerners?
When i was ickle it was filmed down south and now aparantly its filmed in Liverpool, how different an accent can you get? Two totally different cities, did they move the school all those miles up country:rolleyes: its just not the same anymore :( Grange Hill - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia |
Re: Grange Hill
On 6 February 2008, the BBC announced Grange Hill was to be axed after exactly 30 years. The announcement was made by CBBC controller Anne Gilchrist just two days before the show's official 30th birthday. Just a few weeks earlier Phil Redmond said the programme had been robbed of its original purpose and should be scrapped.[12]
The final series is being shown on BBC1 on Mondays at 4:35pm, with a Saturday repeat at 4pm on the CBBC Channel :( |
Re: Grange Hill
I knew scouser Phil Redmond had started it, but it was a bit daft moving the thing from London to Liverpool.
I watched it as a kid when it first started in the seventies. At the time children loved the programme, but parents and teachers hated it. Seems sad that after thirty years it's finished. |
Re: Grange Hill

Re: Grange Hill
I remember when Chrissie got pregnant while she was at school!! In them days it wasn't a common thing, and I remember thinking " omg, she is still at school ..... that's so bad " Now she would be classed as an Icon.
