Well touch wood mine is going good so far
Im very superstitous and like to think ive got myself covered today cus I just aint been out yet lol.. Do have to go to the post office after but my dilema is do i go on the bike or is it safer to walk? :eek::confused:


who else is superstitous about the dreaded friday 13th ?

mines fine so far,I got a tenner knocked off my hairdo this morning, just for taking a few parcles in lately....
and its my oldest grandsons birthday today ,,HE IS 19....(ooh i wish i was ,and knew then what i know now):)

Not superstitious at all Cherokee .. work on the theory Friday 13th the same for everybody .. somebody will have a bad day of course and blame it on today.

Only seen people at the pool today, and the lady who had pulled ligaments in her foot was didn't use her walking stick today; the man with the stroke actually managed a few swimming strokes more, and another lady who usually walks unsteady was much improved. So good day for them.

I think I will pop off to Next this afternoon, and get that skirt I saw yesterday; will be a bad day for me if they haven't a size 10 left.... :D

mine started crap, went down town to optictions they told me i am just starting with cataracts............... but not to worry pmsl, then went somewhere else n it was shut, aint superstitious but have never liked this day, since a good friend of 15yrs old was killed on it 40 odd yrs ago.

Here are some more Superstitious things

Magpies....see one and its for sorrow
scissors...if ya drop em, it means your lover is being a cheat!
Shoes....Do not place shoes upon a table, as this will bring bad luck for the day, cause trouble with a friend and probably annoy your partner
Horse shoe....to bring good luck, the horseshoe must be lost by a horse and be found by you, with the open end facing your way
Salt...Spilling salt is said to bring bad luck, but this is remedied by throwing salt - and this bit is important - over your left shoulder with your right hand
Mirrors....Breaking a mirror can mean you'll suffer seven years bad luck.
But this can be avoided by turning around three times counter-clockwise or by grinding the mirror shards to dust so that no shattered reflections can be seen in them.

It was fine until I noticed this thread.
Just an ordinary day.

However since then, my trousers have split, I have over cooked my boiled eggs, my lettuce has gone limp because of all the extra steam, the cat has eaten the prawns I was going to have with the salad, I rang an 0891 number during the confusion and now have to pay C.O.D. for a Taiwanese bride, Oh! and broken a nail on the keyboard answering this thread!

Sounds like one of your normal days to me, however, always silver linings:-

Split Trousers ... think of the excitement on the bins men's faces as they see summat in yer green sack, and the thought of the disappointment when they realise just trash after all.

Boiled egg ... no wind tonight.

Cat eating prawns .. you probably would have got urticaria anyway.

Lettuce limp .. thank your stars the only thing gone limp.

Taiwanese bird .. free meal for the cat.

Broken nail .. can ask the next female you come across to kiss it better.

I have only just noticed it is Friday 13th

I have had a great day, best day all week. I have felt well after a whole week of feeling awful due to eating something (heaven knows what) that I am allergic too. Also 3 or maybe 4 new business opportunities have opened up to me today.

Very happy, hope everyone has had as good a day

Not so good for my little girl who is only 6 , she has fallen in aload of nettles half her body is cover , my poor little girl , i wish i could take her pain away ,

Not good at all, my ex father in law has died this morning. I liked him, nice, honest bloke, worked hard all his life, retired 2 years ago; cancer has no respect.

I'm not superstitious at all:)

My lad who is now 4 was born on Friday the 13th 2004:)

We bought a house and it has just completed today which is Friday the 13th!:D:D
And nothing went wrong:)Apart from all the cleaning:rolleyes:

So Friday 13th seems quite a good day for us:)

Not to bad.. got up late.. Sister and my brother in law came down (first time I met him) Geordie lad, after half hour reckoned everyone in London is gay! (never noticed before).. cheap booze at Witherspoons.. after 4 hour's B in law is mashed up, reckons he's spoted a place up Kings Cross with bars .. GOOD MAN.. left them to it!.. so good day.
