Resurrection wish list

Elvis came top in the list famous people we would like to see brought back from the dead!

The top 10 personalities:
1. Elvis Presley (23%)
2. Princess Diana (20%)
3. Marilyn Monroe (17%)
4. Henry VIII (11%)
5. Bobby Moore (9%)
6. William Shakespeare (6%)
7. Freddie Mercury (5%)
8. Albert Einstein (4%)
9. Winston Churchill (3%)
10. Kurt Cobain (2%)

People were also asked to choose what they thought the stars would be doing if they were alive today and six out of 10 thought Elvis would be a judge on American Idol.:mosher:

I'd have chosen Richard III - a much maligned character. He could have sorted this country out from the mess it's in.

Apart from the personal one's like my Dad, I think Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci for his visions of the future and his inventions were way before their time.

I wonder what he would have made of the world today??

I can well understand Elvis being top of the list, though there is a hardcore of fans who really believe he never really went. ;) The Sunday Express magazine had an article about the musical "West Side Story" last week. I didn't know that the film producers had wanted Elvis to play "Tony" but the ridiculous "Colonel" Parker vetoed it. Can you imagine it? Elvis in that superb musical. The knees go weak at the thought.........:D

Colonel Tom would not be on any buggers list, reason elvis never toured outside the usa was him, illegal immigrant n wouldn't let him leave without himself, was scared he would not get back in the states, n therefore lose his "Golden Goose"

Hitler , Stalin , Mussolini , Franco , Ghengis Khan , just to see if they were as bad as history paints them , like the old adage says 'the winnners write the history books' ,

would also like to meet a neanderthal/caveman just to see how much if any 'human intelligence' has progressed over the years

This is exactly the sort of thing I mean - all most people 'know' of Richard III is the Shakespeare propaganda written to please the monarch of the day.

Richard III
They lay the blame on you my brother,
But they don't know.
They don't know if it's true my brother,
But still the stories grow:
"He was an evil man!" "A tyrant king." "His heart was cold as stone."
But I could tell a different tale,
For I, yes I alone
Have love this man they live to hate
Who at Bosworth met his doom.
Whilst England cheered at Richard's fate
I cried upon his tomb.

They know him not all those who claim
That they knew this king so well.
But I who speak have loved him dear and fain my tale would tell.
"A bloody man!" "A murderer!" I hear the angry cry,
Whilst in Henry's reign lies Richard, slain.
So young a man to die.

When Lancaster 'gainst Yorkish fought
His swordsmanship was keenly sought.
His kingship late, was dearly bought
With death in blood and rain.
The once put-down Lancastrian crown
Then rose to rule again.

And they leave the blame with you my brother.
How can they tell
The thoughts that lay inside your head when at Bosworth's field you fell?
The "loyal followers of the crown" belong to Henry's army save
One who rejoices not this day, but mourns at Richard's grave.

Re: Resurrection wish list

it would be interesting to see hitler returned just to clarify if he did actualy only have one ball

bring back elvis and publicly execute him live on TV world wide to put an end once and for all to the rumours that he is still alive

bring back nevil chamberlain so that he can say " i told you so "

bring back lord lucan and ask him where he was hiding

bring back jack the ripper and show him how to use dating sites

bring back JFK just to get his opinion on where he thought the bulllet came from and how many shots he actualy heard

bring back skippy - deaths relating to people falling down mine shafts has risen sharply since his death

bring back george peppard because i also loved it when a plan came together :D
