Hotdogs
Do you like mustard on your Hotdogs?.. some hotdog stands put loads of english mustard on which is quite strong..i don't mind mustard on my hotdog ..but what would you rather have? english ? or the milder american mustard?

Re: Hotdogs
yep , have to agree English (Colemans) is a bit strong , better if made with milk instead of water
American .....no taste French ......too sweet German ......about right for me Japanese.....Wasabi (mixture of Mustard and Horseradish) ..... also good if your drinking beer :hidewall: |

Re: Hotdogs
Hahaha...hot dogs. :D
Sorry to wander a bit but I thought I'd just share a funny story with you. When my son was 3 he went to a Christmas party at his nursery...they were having party food, party games, visit from Santa etc. When I picked him up I asked him what he'd had to eat and he replied 'sausage and bread.' I said 'Oh you mean a hot dog?' He looked at me like I was the biggest fool ever, gave a huge sigh and said....'No. It wasn't a dog, it was sausage and bread....you don't eat dogs, you stroke them!' :D He looked so serious as he said it! Haha...I'll never forget that. As you can see, we still laugh at it now. :D |

I do like wasabi though. |
Re: Hotdogs
Fried onions, french mustard or ketchup mood dependent!
|
Re: Hotdogs
Most british sausages are made from 'recovered' meat scraped from the bones and taste of nothing. That's why they need perking up with some sauce or other.

Re: Hotdogs
Only teh cheap supermarket type, buy good sausages from a decent butcher and they are proper meat.
The shop in Ossy mills does mnice ones but he is a little dearer than most places, Whittakers on Blackburn Market do lovely Lamb and Pork and Black Pudding ones. Until a couple of years ago I used to go to Keswick each year and bring back 25lbs of Cumberland sausage from a particular butcher that was shared round friends and family. They were the best sausage I've ever had to this day by a couontry mile. Good really course mince, right amount of fat, no breadcrumbs/oatmeal, perfectly spiced and just absolutely delicious! My mum started going there ~40 years ago when they were on holiday one year and kept going back. The inconsiderate sod went and emigrated to Oz. :( |
