putting real names to screen names
 

OK....i was sat having a natter to Accylass at her house a couple of hours ago and we came upon the subject of putting real names to accywebbers from looking at their photo's

We went through a few and came up with a couple for pipinfort

i reckoned he looks like a Mark
Accylass reckoned he looks like an Ian
but then again he could be a Phil

for some reason i always thought Willow was called Rosie, she looks like a Rosie but i know that that aint her name lol


just by looking at peoples pics when you dont actually know their real names can you ever guess what they are called??

and i dont mean Neil, Gayle or Katex or anything as obvious as that :D

Ha! I'm with emamum, I would never have guessed your name. :)

To my knowledge I have not seen any accyweb members apart from Romps and Neil. I sometimes get a mental picture of people through what they say on accyweb but wouldn't like to guess their names.

:D Just to add to that confusion, on our new MorecambeBayWeb someone who knows me elsewhere has referred to me as Rosie! I'll answer to either that or Willow or my real name.

At least it doesn't sound as bad if someone shouts "Hiya Willow!" across Accy market as it does if someone shouts "Hey Flashytart!" ;)

There are some tho, as we spoke about earlier, that I couldn't of guessed what they were called!

Hmmm. There's a lot of waffle on that thread and not as many pics as I thought there would be.

There is a very strange picture of Garinda sucking Romps's toes.....I wonder what that was all about! :eek:

Anyway, if I had to put a name to Garinda after seeing that pic I would say his name was Marcus. :)

when i first started talking to Aleks...when he was silvermain and then tadah i told him my real name was Florence, and for a while he believed me...he actually had me in his phone as Florence :cool:

The same goes really for when somebody knows what your real name is, and then refers to you as that in posts, when you have always used your screen name.

I don't really know what anybody;s real name is on here.

Doug confused me for a long time!

I know a few people and their real names but in my mind I still 'see' them as their accy web name - Willow, Harwood, Garinda especially - even though I call them by their real names.

It doesnt bother me either way,some call me my screen name and some call me my real name in the posts on here.I answer to both even at the meets.Well it makes things easier as my screen name is one of my nicknames off some of my mates:D

My name seemed to be very popular in Padiham in the early 60's.

There were 6 of us in my junior school class and out of an office of 12 people at my first job there were 3 of us.

I'm the same as you Flashytart - I've never met anyone with the same name as me and when I say my name people say they have never heard it before. Nice to be different though :)

Members register with a login name and that is the name that should be used on site if they wanted there real names used then they would have registered using there real name.
