Hallelujah! Join this group.

Brothers and sisters.

If like me you feel you are in contol of your own life, and the morals by which you live, without the need for those who think they know better telling you how to behave, please feel free to join my group.

Thank you, and peace be with you.

This is a serious thread.

I'm not trying to be a cult.

I'm sorry , but I find this thread offensive , its a mickey-take on another thread , no way would Garinda have opened it , and the other posters would have contributed to it if it had been about any other religion . This is 'new-age' ganging -up on Christianity , something which is not only allowed but encouraged in the Stasi controlled "new labour Britain" .
I wonder if the original poster and his acolytes would have been so eager to "diss" the original thread if it had been posted by a local mullah encouraging local youth attend a madrassa for enlightenment on the ways of Islam , or maybe a local Rabbi urging the local youth to a Kabbala indoctrination meeting , I think not . What happened to live and let live ?

thank-you, a Daily Mail reader in San Francisco

I'd have started this group whoever was telling me I could be saved, even though I don't need no damned salvation.

Amen.

Now go back to dressing up as a nun, and spread the word in San Francisco.;)

Er....trust me, yes I would.

As for your 'live and let live', does that not include myself and other non-believers?

That's not a very tolerant attitude.;)

Garinda .....nice to know you are in control of your life and figured it all out . You said it is not a cult . What is it ? Are we following the thoughts and beliefs of garinda or is it just a mish mash of people with various beliefs . I wish you well with your group . When i figure out what purpose it serves i might join .....Goodluck . If it is a group that intends to mock jesus then we was warned . In the final days BEWARE THE ANTICHRIST .

The group is exactly what it says it is.

A group of people who are atheists, agnostics, or just fed up with people pushing their religion down their throats, or even knocking on their door, disturbing their peace, to tell them about their god.

Peace be with you.:)

By all means start a group of people who choose not to believe in God and call it whatever you like but please do not use it to ridicule and demean those of us who do believe and to whom the sacrifice made by Jesus Christ means more than anything you could possibly imagine.

I accept and defend the right of anyone to choose not to believe in anything but surely we who do believe have just as much right. :(

I think this is my cue to leave AccyWeb.

Goodbye. It's been nice knowing some of you.

You were one of the people I meant when I posted about having members of Accy Web who have strong religious beliefs, and also show respect for those who have other, or no belief.

You've mentioned your faith, when relevant, but you've certainly never tried to convert others to your religion.

I hope you don't leave this forum over this.

All I expect is the same rights to express my beliefs as anyone else.

Some of the recent posts about people's faith I've found very patronising.

I'm able to make my own mind up about issues of faith. I don't need saving by someone's god.

Sound like a cop out of a religion that - must be Catholic.

Thank you for your invitation to join, however I have been an Atheist for quite a long time but unlike people with religious views I have never felt a need to become part of a group telling the world I am right and you are wrong, all I ask of them and indeed your little group is enjoy what you believe but don't force it down my throat, I'm not interested thanks.

Now is not the time to leave, now is the time to use your beliefs to rise above this be strong and show that you can live and let live with a sense of humour.

I'm sure rindy only started it using his wicked humour and not meaning any offence.

I have to admire anyone who's belief is really strong - whether a confirmed believer or a total atheist! To KNOW absolutely and definitely that you're right is quite impressive.

I haven't got a clue!

I did not see this thread as anything but a bit of fun  ... no I'm not naive, and it does have serious undertones of satire and comment on Enigmaman's thread, which is 'in my opinion' bordering on fanatical and comedy madness.

Let's put it this way, Enigmaman is the last person I would like to get stuck in a lift with !

Think Garinda could go onto being one of the writers of 'Life of Brian 2' .. also suspect Borat may be lurking. :D

It only becomes unfunny when some people decide it is acceptable to kill the enemies of their god.

I think you mean:-

'when some people decide it is acceptable to send other people to kill the enemies of their god.'

The ones willing to start a war always seem to stay at the back cheering the others on.

Suicide bombers can hardly be described as staying at the back, cheering others on.;)

Somebody somewhere has to be a fund raiser, they can't all get the chance of heaven with a load of virgins, (personally I'd rather be there with one reasonable woman than a load of women that don't).

Amen to that brother.

Anyway the group has now been disbanded, due to falling numbers.

Much like the number of people willing to be suicide bomber, now that Susan Boyle is the most famous example of a virgin in the world.
