I've Finally Done It!

So, about 5 years ago I bought a new set of pans, (I must admit for most of those 5 years I've lived on Micro-wave dishes, except for the odd time Mez made a superb roast and invited me up).

Today I've done myself liver and onions, no the micro hasn't broken, chucked some spuds in a pan then, for the very first time got the steamer thingy out put it on the pan and did myself some veg'.

O.K. it's only frozen veg', but what the hey, it's a start isn't it?

I must admit, this cleaning up afterwards thing is a bit tedious, there should be something that automatically does that sort of labour.

Burp!

Did enough for six, just managed to get through it, now if I could just persuade someone with a wheelbarrow to get me within 2 feet of my bed?

I think I could manage from there.

There is, its called a pot licker, has hairy body, 4 legs, & wags its tail, some people call it Rover or Muttley, you get them at Altham Dog Pound.

Liver and bacon for me, with mash and runner beans, with super thick gravy. Liver rolled in flour and nutmeg before frying, thicken the gravy with the flour used for the liver.

Did enough for six,

Well as i was NOT invited round to help eat it
I thought i would make Pasta with homemade meatballs and my own tomato sauce.

er now i am in the dog house with Anne:o
let me explain
i made the meatballs, put a pan of salted water on the heat with the pasta in,
then i turned to make the sauce now we usually get tins of ready chopped tomatoes but looking in the cupboard all er had was tins of whole tomatoes so thought no problem.
i emptied 2 tins of tomato's into a mixing ball and got the hand blender out.
i started to chop the tomatoes but forgot to switch the high speed blender off BEFORE taking it out the tomatoes .
I had to spend the next 1 hour cleaning all the tomato off the walls, units ,ceiling and floor, changing my clothes and having a bath to get the tomato out my hair (whats left of it):o
but it was a nice tea
i will see if Anne is speaking to me yet when she gets up this morning :hidewall:

I blame LESS for this if he had asked me round for tea Anne would still be speaking to me:D

I'm wondering here all the non-stick coating on my pans has gone , they used to be ok about 15 years ago when I bought them , now everything sticks to them , any one know if the non-stick stuff is toxic or does it just pass through you  ;)

Off The Road: How toxic is non-stick pan?

Hi Margaret, whilst you were googling, did you come across any teflon in aerosol cans, I bought some 20 odd years ago, sprayed it on after degreasing the item, and then baked in oven at regulo 5 for 10 mins, I used it as a rust protector on some of my kit.

I don't think teflon was invented then (20 yrs ago)
... but if this is a serious question and not extraction of the Michael, then I will search again:D

Margaret I'm disappointed, why would I extract the Michael, you've done nothing to me.
The question is genuine, I bought it in a spray can, not sure if it was called Teflon, but it was definitely sold as non stick substance, when it was baked on, it was black & had a smoother & thicker finish, than the stuff on todays pans, it didn't like being scratched, soon wore off, just wondered if it was still available.

I apologise for doubting your motives. It seems that teflon has been around for 40 years.
The manufacturer says it is not hazardous
Learn More About Teflon¯
Well they would say that wouldn't they:rolleyes:
The spray has a hazard sheet
http://www.weicon.de/datasheets/en/Teflon-Spray%20(GB).pdf

I found sites where people had used the spray and wanted more, but were struggling to find any.
It appears that it was withdrawn from sale - for safety reasons maybe

Thanks Margaret.

Did'nt know it was so hazardous in use.
Applied mine in the back yard, suspended
the items on fine wire from the clothes line,
then when it dried, put them in the oven to bake.

Retlaw.

PS It won't let me send you some of that karma stuff.
