Welsh road sign.

Think this is hilarious :-

BBC NEWS | Wales | E-mail error ends up on road sign

Must admit do find the signs a little distracting anyway, just takes you that little bit longer to read them.

Am in support of the Welsh keeping their language, but think the delay in taking in the message these road signs display can be slightly dangerous.

Wonder if there are any Welsh people that can't speak English ? Possibly some loner who lives in the hills ?

It is time to stop this stupid waste of money. The official language of the UK is English so that is all that should be on road signs. If people can not read English they should not be able to pass a driving test in the UK.

Perhaps you could write to B.B.C. Scotland, so they'll also stop showing all the Gaelic programmes they broadcast.;)

I certainly would not wish the Welsh to lose their language ... after all, for such a small country we have very colourful languages/accents/traditions, etc., of which I am very proud. You can travel a whole state in America and there will be no change in their accent.

Think perhaps they could cut down on some of the road signs though showing English/Welsh wording.
