Roy's fault, here we are on the eve of a new President & the good old accyweb betting shop isn't in use.
Whichever one wins we could have had some fun with a few bets:- First Black President. How long before the grassy knoll becomes occupied once more and who will be the favourite to occupy it? Evens = Hi Y'all good ol' red neck. 3-1 = The Silent Majority. 7-1 = The looney White guy? (It's the Devil ah tells ye, it's the Devil). 6,000-1 = The looney Black guy? (It's the Devil ah tells ye, it's the Devil). OR I haven't been feeling very well but my doctors tell me I'm a fine White guy? Evens = Will last 3 days. 17-1 = Will see the Winter out. 50-1 = Has already nuked Alaska just to make sure she doesn't follow him. 4,999,999-1 = Died three weeks ago, but it would bankrupt the U.S.A. to admit that and have to start all over again leaving George W. in charge & here comes WWIII! http://planetsmilies.net/machine-smiley-5073.gif |

The interesting bet is on which leader from this side of the water will be first through the Whitehouse door. Will it be the fat German frauline, Mrs Merkel? Or the slimey Frog, Sarkozy? My bet is on boring Brown, because otherwise Obama ain't gonna get his extra 5000 Tommies to take on Terry taliban.
