Noises/Sounds

Some noises I really love .. no not sentimental types like the chuckle of a child, sound of the key in the door as yer husband comes home .. just simple noises like:-

  • When I pierce the cellophane on me micro wave meal ... pop, pop, pop !
  • Pulling a piece of cellotape off its roll.
  • The shower as it hits the tiles.
  • Crunch of gravel under a car tyre in an unpaved drive.
  • Squirt of an aerosol.
  • Sizzle of sausages in a pan.
  • Bubbles of the spa at the gym.
Am I weird ?

The sound of a small child's laughter.
The clarinets and saxaphones in Glenn Miller's orchestra.
Paul Robeson's voice.
The sound of a high heel on a pavement - it's my mother, circa 1950.

Laid in bed of a morning and hearing the sound of a lady in high heels walking down the street.

Raindrops pelting the window in the midst of a summer storm.

The sound of a powerful engine

The reassuring tick of an old clock.

Waves crashing on a beach.

Far away thunder.

Birds singing..

Silence.

:)

I love that still, quiet sound that you get when you wake up in the morning and there has been heavy snowfall during the night.

Water! As in, waterfalls, running river, waves... and my alarm clock, if I hear that, then I have slept till morning, usually up before it though.
If we can get this to the over 18's, i'm sure there are more sounds I enjoy:D

The crack of a can of beer opening after a hard day at work.

Playing ' drums' on the sealed lid of a jar of coffee

A musical engined[1] car on full song downa road in the distance

Siobhan in a fit of giggles

the crunch when walking on fresh snow.

[1] some cars/bikes have 'boring' sounding engines, some are pure music, think Alfa V6, Lambo V12 a open pipe V twin Bike, a small cc screaming jap 4
