Calling Jambutty

Where are you? Anyone know where he's got to.. rather absent of late..

MargaretR 07-01-2009 21:04

Re: Calling Jambutty

He was on Blackburn 24/7 on new years day

Lilly 07-01-2009 21:04

Re: Calling Jambutty

I was wondering that myself but held back from starting a thread as someone pointed out a while back that starting threads asking where members are could lead to them being burgled if they are on holiday. ;):D

Apparently enquiries such as these should be made via pm to a member who knows the absent person.

I don't know who knows Jambutty so have just been left wondering where he's got to.

I hope he's ok.

I've wondered too as I've missed his posts which are always entertaining if, sometimes, controversial. Come back, Jambutty, all is forgiven. (And if that doesn't earn me a classic, acerbic Jambutty comment, I give up). :D

Re: Calling Jambutty

start a thread on karma points and people sending it anon and he will come back and comment ;)

There comes a time when members have to call time out and I think Jim has done just that....If someone said (via the forum) to me that I should be commited or sectioned I would not be too pleased neither was Jim.

It's odd how some of the people who are never afraid to voice their opinions, and be quite harsh about others, are also the ones with the most fragile egos.

If he is licking his wounds I hope he comes back too.

How are you pension and savings doing in the current climate?

I assume you still draw a pension in the UK. If so you are as bad as the eastern europeans that earn money here and send it back home to be spent. This has a negative effect on the country. My wages are spent in England to help with the economy.

Re: Calling Jambutty

Neil I can see where your coming from but in all fairness If royboy has worked all his life and payed into our system why shouldnt he be reaping something back and if his choice is to spend it in spain so be it.
IMO hes far from being like the eastern europeans who are here and taking what is rightfully ours, ie child benefit for children that do not live in this country.
My husband has a military pension and will eventually be entitled to an old age pension and if he dicides to go abroad to live and spend it over there then thats fine by me so longs as im with him;);):D

Re: Calling Jambutty

I agree with both Neil and Cherokee. Surely though if you decide to sling your hook and clear off abroad, financed by this country, what goes on here in your absence has sod all to do with you.

I have four immediate family members in the UK, adult and taxpaying.
I have grandchildren in the UK and have fears for their future.
My business interest in the UK is ongoing and liable to tax.
Would you like to know what I had for breakfast?:rolleyes:

I know you did, but some things I can't remember all that well.

Example, I attended my sisters funeral today, she worked in the Fire Brigade, over 30 members both serving and ex members of the brigade turned up, and I could only remember the names of a few.

Jambutty is ok, he's just posted on another forum

But for those that have emigrated...................do you know that if they recieved the winter fuel benefit of being a pensioner before they emigrated then they are still entitled to it once they have emgrated. And our nice government change it into the sterling that is required as well. Apparently, once it is given it cannot be taken away!!!

I think it all depends how you have your pension etc paid, if it goes into an English bank and you don't tell work and pensions they will still pay it, but people wouldn't be so dishonest would they:rolleyes:
