Weirdo Websites
 

I belong to a few other sites similar to Accyweb. Three of them are "fan" sites. One is the Laurel and Hardy site which has members from all over the world and is sometimes interesting and full of chat. I joined a George Formby site which can be good but tends to have a lot of nerds who play banjoleles and think they are George Formby. Then six months ago I joined an Elvis site. Oh dear!

I thought it would be normal people who enjoy Elvis' music but it turned out to be a load of obsessive women who seem to think he is a God - and worship him as one. I have never seen such rubbish as was posted on that site, so bad that my 3rd and final post (this was in a thread about Priscilla who they were almost equating with Satan) was to tell them that they were all seriously deranged. :eek:

I just hope none of them has my address, I really believe these are the sort of people who would put a horse's head in your bed. :D Has anyone else ever joined a website like that and how long did you stay?

Yes, I joined a most strange website five years ago. It's full of threads about the sort of things normal people never think about like white dog poo and they're currently obsessing over a calendar with a picture of a rather stout man on it. Weird...really weird. How long did I stay?...oh, about five years and counting...
