UK Cowboy

Not sure if this is on here anywhere but.... Pete has had a very nasty accident and is currently in hospital with a very mangled leg. Seen Sparkie today and she thinks he maybe in for a good while, he has what looks like a meccano kit holding his leg together.
Just want to wish him all the best if he can see this thru the cloud of morphine, and get well soon mate!
Also, keep going Sparkie! Know you are made of strong stuff and will pull thru this!
( Pete has laptop so I am told so should see this!)

I'm very sorry to hear that.

I wish you a speedy recovery.

You better be A1 again soon, as I've got our duo a booking on a Lithuanian ferry in March.

Hi everyone, have only just seen this thread today and would just like to say thanks for all the best wishes you guys have posted on here. Was actually feeling quite down today as have been told that my job cant be kept open for very long due to the current climate, but you guys have cheered me up no end. Many thanks.

I know this is cheeky, but Sparkie probably needs support more than I do (nurses are brill), so if anyone who knows her could just say hi I would appreciate it very much.

Thanks all onve again.

For those of you who aren't too squeamish have a look at the photo of his leg below, its a corker!!!

Well here's an update for everyone, Pete is now walking about for short distances on crutches. He also rang me from the ciggy hut outside the hospital this morning after they supplied him with a wheelchair he can wheel himself!!!! They're apparently hoping to send him home at some point this week once they've got his pain meds right.

Glad he is getting about a bit. At least he found the ciggie hut.

Well people he's now home and residing on the sofa.

What I would like to ask is does anyone have an adult wheelchair he can borrow to wheel himself about in? The hospital only gave him crutches.

Many thanks
