No I wasn't caught stuffing a extra bottle of wine in my bag, but when I was leaving the store with my purchases this afternoon, someone shouted out quite loudly 'Garinda!'

I turned round and scanned the other shoppers, but didn't see a face I instantly recognised, but replied with what was hopefully a cheery hello, but I don't think we've ever met, so forgive my guarded greeting.

If we have met, I aplogise, I was probably drunk if we've met at a meet, and I will shout your username back at you the next time we meet, if you tell me who you are.

I think it was used in Dixon of Dock Green, meaning identify someone, from pointing the finger in an identity parade.

It's also probable the term 'fingered by the fuzz' comes from there too.

No, when the person shouted it, and I turned round to say hello, he looked at me and said it again.

T'was i.It was after the game,i'd had a skinful & was at peace with the world:) I have'nt actually met Garinda but recognised him from web photos.I later went in Boots & embarrassed Lesley.I am on a one man mission to 'finger' all accy webbers,so if anyone else is accosted by a beveraged induced middle-aged & counting bloke in Accy town centre,fear not for it is only i.Have a nice day y'all.:D
