Should Ronnie Biggs be let out?
I don't feel any sorrow for the plight of the train robber Ronnie Biggs..but I do feel for his son...the man is simply trying to do the best for his Dad..Biggs is dying and knackard and can't be any threat these days...he ain't killed anyone unlike some murderers that get out after a few years.

Re: Should Ronnie Biggs be let out?
didnt somone die in the train robbery he took part in
regardless he only gave himself up to get medical treatment after a very good life on the run so i dont care how good the film buster was he can rot in jail for all i care |
Re: Should Ronnie Biggs be let out?
no one died in the robbery but I'm sure it was not a good time for the blokes on that train and the robbers should do time.. but it seems people get life for stealing alot of money when worse has been done and the culprits get released after a few years.. to me it seems Biggs and other thieves get harder treatment than rapists and pedophiles.

they let Reggie Kray out because he was dying and the Krays did hell of a lot more than Biggs ever did (most of you will know i was well into the Krays) i reckon he should be let out

Re: Should Ronnie Biggs be let out?
I must a gree with you for what he has done but he should not be let out he should pay for what he has done life should be life.

Re: Should Ronnie Biggs be let out?
well in this case he has done life hasnt he, he will only be let out to die, IF he's let out at all

Re: Should Ronnie Biggs be let out?
no point at all in keeping the guy in stir, agree wi everything mancie says on this.

Re: Should Ronnie Biggs be let out?
Simple answer - Yes.
Why? He and the other train robbers got longer sentences than the killers of Baby Peter because money is far more important, in the eyes of the Law, than human life. He is no threat to Society and he's dieing. Biggs escaped prison and laughed at British law for many years but he never re-offended in all that time. It costs a great deal of money to keep a man incarcerated in prison so free a cell for a more deserving thug. There's plenty of them about. |
Re: Should Ronnie Biggs be let out?
If he's let out he shouldn't receive any state pension, but forced to make another film with the half wit Johnny Rotten/Lydon, to fund his final days.
Failing that, a butter commercial. |
Re: Should Ronnie Biggs be let out?
See he's in dock, has fallen down a broke his hip and he also has a chest infection not a good combination at his age

Re: Should Ronnie Biggs be let out?
just because pedos get less time dosnt mean he shouldnt serve life
if anything pedos should be given longer or death ,not reduce someone elses time because it dosnt seem fair they robbed Royal Mail which back then a crime against the crown meant somthing and they knew damn well that they would be come down on harder for it than a standard robbery so screw him he went on teh run knowing that if he came back he would have to carry out his sentance and it was his own decision to come back to england perhaps if he had looked after his stolen money better he coulda afforded treatment abroad or had medical insurance and wouldnt be taking up a prison cell over here maybe if he did what his buddy buster did it would not only free up a prison cell it would save teh tax payer forking out for his legal aid |
Re: Should Ronnie Biggs be let out?
He was given a thirty year sentence and then escaped so I presume he has to finish his time. It was a little harsh I think and as he won't be a danger to the community now, I reckon it would be kind to let him spend some time with his son before he dies.

Re: Should Ronnie Biggs be let out?
He had pleanty of time to spend with his son when he was on the run spending his ill gotten gains in Brazil.
