Happy birthday, and many happy returns, to a man who has spent his life recording the people and the places of this area for most of his life.

I think you're wrong.

He was in the paper in June, celebrating his 60th wedding anniversary.

Am proud to wish this true gentleman the very best of wishes on his 85th Birthday. A legend in his own lifetime. He has snapped me on many occasions.

Keep meaning to purchase his book ... he must have lots of photographs in his 'cache' which would be of interest to us all.

Actually, saw a friend a few weeks ago who worked alongside Garth in his shop for years .. Roy. Roy was busy putting about a couple of thousand photographs on file ... hope there may be an opportunity to see it at some time.

Garth Dawson took my very first passport photo, in 1955, when there weren't photo booths around. I was 12. :)

The local area has a lot to thank Garth Dawson for. He has recorded pretty much most of its history for the last fifty odd years. He will be remembered for a long, long time. So happy birthday, Garth, thank you.

Happy Birthday Garth - a man who has been flashing all over Accrington for many years and never got locked up. He no longer has a negative attitude.I thibnk it would have been garth who took my photo in Gatty Park in he summer of 1944 and it was printed in the Observer.
