i was thinking more about the panic the researchers feel when their pint glass is nearly empty ....:D:D:D

Re: QI fact of the day
Slightly O/T, I never really understood the half full/half empty debate so one night in the pub we decided to sort it out once and for all. It was eventually concluded that it depends whether your glass is being filled or emptied at the time but I'm still none the wiser as to why that makes people either optimists or pessimists.

Re: QI fact of the day
One for the researchers, some days ago someone mentioned they wished they could have an "ology", well Gentlemen you can  in your line of work the title "Tegestology" should be quite suitable :) your qualifications should be quite literally lying around you !!! :D :D

Re: QI fact of the day
another one for you ...
Deipnophobia is the fear of dinner party conversations. All of us are born with a set of instinctive fears - of falling, of the dark, of lobsters, of falling on lobsters in the dark, or speaking before a Rotary Club, and of the words "Some Assembly Required". DAVE BARRY I always thought that was being shy ... rather than Deipnophobia ... :D:D:D |

Allodoxaphobia is the fear of opinions. I prefer my people to be loyal out of fear rather than conviction. Convictions can change but fear remains. JOSEF STALIN |

Usually if constipated that might apply. That is a certainty when being bombed by seagulls. |
Re: QI fact of the day
It appears that the high brow intentions of passing on gems of useless information has indeed "gone down the pan" & the expression "talking sh**e" seems to be taking on some significance. :)
