Jobsworth Award ...

goes to a security guard in Cambridge ..

A Cambridge shopping arcade has apologised to an 84-year-old woman told to lower the hood of her anorak because it breached a "no hood policy".

BBC News - Woman, 84, ordered to lower hood

Anyone else got any others for a jobsworth award? :D:D:D

Will the clothes shop's within that shopping area refrain from selling hooded garments to discourage the use of these outrageous garments?
I find it strange that shop's selling this type of stuff never complain about the restrictions placed on their customers by the places renting them space.

I noticed a while ago one of the Facebook groups my 15 year old daughter is a member of is called something like "We wear hoods because we are cold, not because we want to knife you"

Ok, I've got a jobsworth for you.

I was loading stuff in the yard area of the Arndale today (cle.aring out the grotto from the weekend). I was asked by a security guard to move my car because it was a loading area. I said 'I was loading'. He said, 'but you're not in a van so you have to move'. When I asked why that mattered he said 'vans are allowed to load and unload but cars have to move'. I WAS LOADING!!!!!!

Did you notice when he walked away Gayle, whether his knuckles were dragging on the floor, looks like he was this weeks neanderthal that left his one brain cell in the bathroom this morning:rolleyes:
