St Mary's was shut today as well. I don't know if it's likely to be open tomorrow or not, yet.

Do you know why Gayle?

Re: School closures

Not sure. Someone said it was because staff couldn't come in but someone else said it was because it wasn't safe.

I think it's more likely the latter because the headmaster was waiting for the caretaker's opinion this morning, from what I understand.

Caretaker proclaims 'wet leaves too slippy, and a danger to health and safety'.

Education to be suspended September - November, until further notice.

Yep, St Mary's is closed again. A lot of the teachers live in Burnley so it's quite possibly impossible to get over here.

Should teachers get paid when they can't get to school?

I have never yet not managed to get to work due to the weather. This weekend might be different but I used to work in Burnley and Preston and always got in.

If us engineers don't get in they would struggle to run production without us. That mean big financial losses for the company.
