Thanks Cashy for those kind words .... feel a little better now that it is not just me.

I do like plants ... they just don't seem to like me very much.

I will have another shot and go looking for some new ones. In the meantime, these are now destined for the green bin. Would you believe, as I tip them in I whisper how sorry I am to them .:silly:

Hmm, they are not dead yet.

Put them upside down in the bath for a day & then feed them with water & plant food.
You may heal them yet.

MrsMatty often almost kills off plants & giving them a bath has sometimes resurrected them.

Just dont do it at the weekend when everyone will expect to be able to have a bath :D

Do you mean the Spanish Moss variety.
They do need water, but will only survive on living wood. I cut a twig off a tree and hung it over that, every week it gets sprayed with warm water, its now survived for over three years.
Cacti only need a bit of water every month during winter, just to keep them ticking over.

Retlaw.

Kate, there is an amazing miracle solution that can keep plants alive. All you need is an empty milk bottle and the stuff that comes out of the tap, it's called water. Use the empty milk bottle to transport the stuff that comes out of the tap, over to the plant. If you do this on a regular basis, an amazing thing happens and your plants will flourish.
