Am I lazy or not?

Feeling a bit hungry so I thought it was cheese on toast time.

Toast in toaster,

Slice cheese - note: I just learnt that you can't use a cheese slicer I found in the drawer on Lancashire cheese, it just falls to bits more than usual.

Cheese on toast. Oh and Lancashire cheese is naff for cheese on toast but it was open so I used it anyway.

Stick in microwave and remove before cheese escapes toast and end up all over the plate.

Simples :D

So the question is, am I a lazy cheese on toast maker or not?

Neil......Lancashire cheese is fine for cheese on toast if you put a bit of worcester sauce in it.......it gives it a bit more flavour.

Re: Am I lazy or not?

It is definitely better done under the grill.......I don't think I would do it in the microwave......but then I am not fond of anything microwaved:(

Re: Am I lazy or not?

Try adding some chopped onion to it as well

by the way i voted yes too but i am even lazy-er than you i get Anne to make it

Neil 16-05-2010 20:44

Re: Am I lazy or not?

Scrambled egg is good in the microwave.

Emily has a thing for egg sandwich and would eat it everyday

Crack egg in small pyrex dish and beat to death with a fork

Stick in microwave for 1 minute

Butter bread, small bun is preferred.

Take bowl out of microwave and put the lump of scrambled egg on bread. It is round like the dish which is why small bun is better.

Give to Emily and watch it disappear. Because the egg is in a lump she does not drop bits everywhere - well she is only 4 :D

They are really yummy that way and only take a minute

I agree with you on that but onion is a banned substance as Rhonda is allergic to them.

There is a bag of chopped frozen onion in the freezer but can only be used when Rhonda is out of the country :D

Yes, you are a lazy arse, and Lancashire cheese makes great cheese on toast...if made under a grill.

You sound like you could have been in the Young Ones.

The sort of person who makes a cuppa from a teabag rescued from the bin, and with hot water from the tap, because it's quicker than turning the kettle on.

You should have your own thread, giving tips on how to be a lazy git.

:D

Yes yer Lazy!! Lol!

I actually think Lancashire Cheese is the best cheese for cheese on toast, as others have said, it must be done under the grill though, and it needs to be Crumbly Lancs, not Creamy or Tasty Lancs, which tends to release its fat content when heated!...I sometimes spread some Mustard on the bread before putting on the Cheese, and pop some sliced tomato on top too!....I'm glad ive just had a couple of pies...otherwise i'd be hungry!:D

Best Regards - Taggy

Aye, he's probably collapsed at the thought of using 3 indredients in a meal Dave!...I'm a bit surprised he bothered to toast the bread to be honest.....could have just melted the cheese n slapped it on a slice of bread....then again...why bother with the bread either!! ...Perhaps he's not as lazy as he thinks!!..Lol!

Best Regards - Taggy
