Those little perforations.

Got me car tax today. Why, oh why, can I never take this disc out of its casing without ripping chunks out of it ?

Every year I think ... get you ya' so-and-so this time (have softened the wording for the site), but no ... fail :( Better luck next year.

Same with cheques (ok .. won't be many for long), finish up with a bit more or less.

What's the world coming to when we can't get our perforations up to quality ?

I do muse though about people who have lots of ear piercing on their lobes ... wonder if I sort of pull it ... would I get a chunk of their ear .. tee hee.

I get annoyed with those perforations in metal bottlecaps.
They are meant to break open when you unscrew - they never do for me.
I end up sawing the top off with the breadknife.

Eew, yes, Margaret ... have had to do exactly the same on many occasions, then it finishes up with bits sticking out and you are in danger of slicing your finger off ! Mind you, seem to get super human strength when it is a bottle of wine ... :D

Mind you, want to try selling raffle tickets ... now there is a challenge.

Try opening the bottle before you are suffering from D.T.'s that way your hands shake less.
I always open the new one as I am going to bed, then the bottle is ready for first thing next morning!
;)

I get the scissors out for the tax disc.......cheques seem Ok, though don't use 'em much these days...it's the bottles that do my head in!

I find the tax discs a challenge too. Takes me ages them things!!

Not so bad with cheques etc but when I was getting the healthy start vouchers (formerly milk tokens) because of where the paper was folded in the envelope It was hard to keep to the perforations and not the fold in the paper. Have found the same with some reply slips / cheques received in the post. They can be a little fiddly

Bottles annoy me (and its not the dt's i dont drink haha) mainly some drinks bottles and the medicine / lotion bottles with the metal lids

And what about those little sachets of Salad dressing/brown sauce/tomato ketchup......it instructs you to 'tear here' but even teeth sometimes fail to do the job......I now carry a little pair of scissors in my handbag....it is safer....unless you want to wear the sauce that is!

Well, Cashy, if you want better quality roads .. you need to pay more for the privilege of driving on them .. is going to go worse now with the Transport cuts this government are implementing.

Should imagine some people like the smell of their own farts anyway .. LOL. :s_wink:

No, I never ever did that. I meant it ponged when you took it out of the horrible green wrapper.......and it was useless at soaking up the drips(from the roof of the lavvy, that is :D:D)

Brings on another little debate as well, did you use it shiny side or rough side against the skin?

Shiny side and a good chance of it sliding up your back, rough side like sandpaper and takes the tips off those painful piles without having any effect on the substance you were using it to remove.

and as you say it was waterproof.
:o

If its that bad then better with news paper or if very very posh a bidet. If very very rich then you could always pay some one to wipe it for you with disposable silk towels.
