Please don't think I am a thick it's just that I don't seemed to have grasped the significance of this "white rabbit" post.

Gremlin, it is something you are supposed to say on the first of the month to bring you luck....but you are supposed to say it before you have said any other word for it to be truly lucky.

A bit like 'pinch and a punch for the first of the month'.......does that make it clearer for you?

It's just one of those traditional things some folk do,it's just a superstition same as saying hello to a single magpie & Black cats being lucky, I wouldn't read to much into it, just join in if you're that way inclined. :)
