A Thought About Mothers
 

Now, I don't know about you, but my Mum had a thing about underwear.
"I hope you've got clean underpants on in case you get run over by a bus".
That was the cry almost every morning.
I never did get run over by a bus but because she implanted that idea into my head, every morning on goes a clean set.

I've been thinking, does it really matter? Whenever the local paper gives us the sad news that a local toper has been run over by a bus, do they ever say, "And his underpants were a disgrace!"
Somehow I think if a bus was coming towards me, MY UNDERWEAR WOULD END UP A DISGRACE!
