Blogs.

I know lots of people get fed up with all the squabbling in General Chat, so if you want something more entertaining, and thought provoking, read the blogs.

They can turn into discussions, thanks to the comments system.

Forget Mills and Boons.

Trawl through Margaret Pilkington's blog to THE great romantic novella of the twentieth century, and be enthralled.

Some great stuff being blogged in that section right now, and I thought it could do with a plug.

Even better, start your own!

Well worth the trouble of going in there to be entertained.

Numero uno Magpi fan,
Rindy Roo.

:)

Thanks for the plug G.
I really do like the second option....'Start your Own'.
I do like reading the back copies of my blogs...even though I know what happened...they still make me giggle.

You're welcome.

I enjoy reading them all, and people's comments too.

What Bernie commented yesterday, after 'Sentimental...? Who? Moi?' was beautifully put.

I wish you could give karma for blog entries, and some of the comments.

I would dearly like to read some daily doings of other Accywebbers.......you don't fancy making a comeback do you G?........you know you always wrote very well and made me laugh, even the everyday things.
I get a bit cheesed off with seeing just my avatar in there. I feel that folk will think I am monopolising the place.

I'd only attempt it again, if the old blog remained private, and I could start again, and this time not use it as a diary.

Am to much of a dense technophobe to work out if that's possible.

So probably I'll just carry on as a blog reader, and fan.

:D

I am sure you could just start a new one G....and then the old one would only be seen by those who you allow to see it.......after all for a very short time I had the dogblogs going.......alas the little fat one with the short hairy legs does not get upstairs anymore:)

Lol, you did!

How?

Just had a quick shufty, and can't fathom how to start a new one.

Any advice, for a simpleton?

Re: Blogs.

Mundane, outrageous, head shaking, hysterical, tears of laughter, tears of sadness, unbelievable, dodgy. These are just a few of the words (but there's also a whole lot more) that can be used upon reading some of the entries within the pages of Blogsberg. :)

Perhaps it's not for everyone, reader or writer some folk don't really want to open up & expose their thoughts & feelings to strangers, it leaves them "vulnerable", but then again there are others who don't mind in the least & are happy to share & divulge their thoughts, feelings & musings. At the end of the day we all can choose as to how much or little we open ourselves up to others, that is our personal choice & therefore defines our position as reader or writer.

Hopefully what is available to view appeals & brings forth some form of emotion & irrespective of what that emotion may be it leaves the reader/writer with a new insight or point of view, so go on, read a few & enjoy.

Well, why don't you try going into the blog control panel.....then blog categories and try and start a new blog by calling it something......'the ruminations of an artistic soul' might be a good one G......and if all else fails...you just shout Miiiiiiiiiiiiiiick!

Cashy, I would love to read a blog by you......it would certainly pull no punches.
Anyway, a blog can be about anything you want to write about......there are no rules that say it has to be about your own life. It doesn't have to be factual either.

Margaret Pilkington 14-11-2010 08:31

Re: Blogs.

Oh, and the freedom thing....are you suggesting that the plods would come after you if you wrote about your past doings? (it would give them far too much paperwork to do)
Or are you talking about the privacy sort of freedom?

I have found(over the time I have been writing a blog)that some of the painful experiences that life has dealt me, have been made less painful for sharing them...offloading them...however you want to see it.
Sharing past experiences also may help others to deal with current situations in their life.....or may just release the tension because thay can have a giggle at your(perceived) misfortunes.
