Re: uk citizenship test

I only got 50% 12 out of 24. What the heck have half the questions asked got to do with Citizenship, i.e. What year were women first allowed to divorce their husbands?:confused:

Re: uk citizenship test

I got 38%:D But that's ok ... I'm happy where I am:dancedog:

Re: uk citizenship test

You have failed the practice citizenship test.

Questions answered correctly: 14 out of 24 (58%)

Time to claim political asylum, I think.

I wonder which publicly funded onanist sat in Whitehall, deciding on those pathetic questions?

garinda 15-08-2011 19:38

Re: uk citizenship test

Should be asking questions like why don't Lancastrians like Yorkshire men, what year did a Brit last win a singles title at Wimbledon, what was the name of the dog who found the world cup, and how long was Queen Victoria on the throne.

Proper questions, about Britain.

You would more than likely want to avoid the sad sap who passed this test.

You certainly wouldn't want them on your quiz team, down the boozer.

Retlaw.

Mr Grey.

Grey suit.

Grey skin.

Tucks his vest into his grey pants.

Index linked pension. Sadly more gold plated than grey.

Catches the 17.57 train from Liverpool St. to Grays, Essex.

Sat with his dinner on a tray, back at Grey Gables, by 19.24.

Sound asleep by 23.30 on the dot, after watching an episode of Grey's Anatomy.

Colourful character.

:D

What a load of Cobblers, just as well I'm living abroad. :D

Being British isn't about answering some questions, it's a state of mind, attitude & mentality. (Oh & being born here helps too ;))

I just got 67%.

Absolute garbage.

If this country had immigration controls, there would be no need for this bureaucratic rubbish and jobs for the boys.

Re: uk citizenship test

Not one question about how to form an orderly queue.

How to chat nicely about the weather.

Decide who's worse, bankers or politicans?

Discuss why the country's gone to the dogs.

Who was the greatest cricketer of all time?

No questions at all, about what it really means to be British.

Tealeaf 15-08-2011 21:28

Re: uk citizenship test

One thing is for sure - those same questions with answers are on line (for a fee payable of $50 US) - in Nigeria, Iraq, Afganistan, Pakistan & India.

Oh dear, only 10 out of 24 -will they let me in next time i want to visit? Am sure civil servants will get these all right -but why for example was there a question on the EU? What's that got to do with British citizenship?
I have never taken Italian citizenship even though i've been here nearly half of my lifetime - have always said that I don't feel like an italian -I now wonder if I've lost my identity in some way and can no longer claim to be British. I do still have an Accrington accent though despite 3 yrs in Liverpool, 2 in Oxford and 24 in Italy....Help!

I don't need to I can prove my right to live and work here.
It will be interesting what happens if the Scots go independent. All UK companies have to be able to prove their employees have a right to work in the UK. Treaties will have to be agreed on before they can work in England after they become their own Country.
