The search facility on here's invaluable.

Especially the advanced search.

You can be much more specific than typing 'Accrington', and you can also search individual sections.

In response to the groove. I've said before but basically mine goes back to when I started at barclays, the standard login id back then was the first 6 chars of your surname and your initial ( its no longer that simple or intuitive :D ). For me though there was also another ian entwistle online ( a maths/physics proff at manchester uni) who had grabbed all the ian.entwistle@ email addy s so I wanted to find something that was unique and this has worked everywhere. There its only one place I dont have it which is facebook due to a member on here (he knows who he is) decided to be spiteful and register it on the first day they came available. Its not transferable so I can never have it there now.

When I joined here i tried for a longer username but it said you can only have 3 letters as your username. That's how I remembered I am fast like a Bee, and put Bee in.

Think you have a point there cashy when we joined very few people used their own names, but more recently its become more common practice, especially by politicians, think if I was joining today I would use my own name, but why change now most people know who I am and I've never tried to hide behind my screen name, in fact it took me long enough to prove who I was, ask Gayle:D:D:D

I'm a semi-'retired' rodent rescuer, and Sugarmouse was the name of the first rescue hamster I had, and what I called my website when I had it. It kinda stuck because I was small with a squeaky laugh, and I like rodents a lot. The 0707 bit comes from my birthday, I was born on the 7th of July (7th month) in ward 7 at 7 am :)

Complete opposite - when I joined I thought you had to use a "handle", so I chose the name of my favourite singer. Quite happy with it, although it still feels a bit strange to walk across the Clayton End to be greeted with "'ow do, Wynonie" by various people.

Not a mathematician but the random distribution of times and dates means that there will be as many people born on the 6th of the 7th at eight o'clock as any other possible combination you can think of. It's our brain that connects and tries to make random events logical -that's the science of numbers.
