Funny Old World This Internet Thingy

What I mean for example is, I've known Margaret Pilkington through Accyweb for a number of years now, but never had the pleasure of actually meeting her, this leaves me to imagine what she is like.

I know from her posts that she is very a straight forward no nonsense sort of person with very strong views on such things as immigration, the E.U. spent most of her working life in nursing, (& loved it), she also likes to rule her home with a rod of iron, (I can just imagine her brow beaten spouse sitting silently in a corner waiting to do her bidding without question).

The image this conjours up for me is a dumpy, four foot nothing woman of Jamaican origin, with (most importantly), a heart of gold.

Well Margaret, is this image an accurate description of you or should we perhaps meet up sometime and dispel with my imaginings?

O.K over to the rest of you, what are your imaginings of those that you have never met except through the ramblings here on Accyweb?

I imagine Margaret to be about 5-6, medium build, as English as thee and me, well organised, strong willed, but a softy at heart.

I used to imagine Lettie looking like Sissy Spacek, I've no idea why, and I thought Pendy and Willow were men.

Wrong with all three assumptions.

Well, unless Lettie's now wearing a pale, gingery wig.

:rolleyes::D

Less, you are pretty close in your imaginings......except I am Just five foot and half an inch....please don't forget the half inch...it is vital to me.
My colouring could best be described I suppose as Spanish/Italian.......I have become more er......matronly as the years advanced(boobs and bum wise)...but the rest is accurate enough.
I was going to say I would put a picture on here for you to see and decide for yourself...but that is a rotten stinking lie........I try very very hard never to get within shooting distance of a camera....which , to some may suggest that I am not happy in my skin.......I don't think that is quite true. I prefer to be judged on more than what I look like. for anyone who is interested there is a picture of me on my profile page...but beware, it is 44years old.

Thank you Retlaw for those kind words......now I am waiting for the barb:)

Audrey Hepburn, Lauren Bacall.
(Sounds like the chorus from Madonna's Vogue!)
Margaret Thatcher, Benazzir Bhotto.
Margaret Duches of Argyle, Princess Diana.
Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell.
Quite a few.

However, today was a red letter day.

For over five years, ever since I joined Accy Web, I've longed to meet one particular person, and today I did.

Margaret Pilkington.

It was a thrill to finally meet you, and you're just as lovely as I knew you'd be.

It was my pleasure to finally put a face to the women who writes the best blog ever, and who always makes me grin like a simpleton, whilst I'm savouring your journal.

I shall sleep contentedly tonight.

As you can see, I wasn't disappointed.

Tough. It's true.

As for height, no way would that register as being anything of note.

Must be your personalty, that makes people think you're as tall as our Cynthia.
