Sounds from the sky

During the last half hour there have been three spells of strange sound which lasted several minutes each. I doesn't sound like aircraft to me and there is no trace of trails in the sky.
The sound didn't 'fade in and out' - just started and stopped.

I have seen reports of this phenomenon before and have found this youtube clip which matches the sound I heard - any ideas what?

It's your Wi-Fi trying to re-connect itself, the noises you hear are your brains cells being fritzed, Please remember the words in bold letters on the hhgttu,

DON'T PANIC!

Ah, yes, technology we stole from those nasty little Clingons!

The only way to deal with them is extra strong and very, very long, Andrex toilet tissues.

Yes, of course it is, no doubt in one of the infinite parallel diemensions these things are in daily use already, as are hand held bullshine monitors.

It would have to be a long drop for me to catch up with you, you went over the edge years ago, strange how you like to confirm that fact with you almost daily, fanciful threads.

Didn't think that the Klingons came this close to Earth ... aren't they more usually found around Uranus:confused:

I know ... and, like you, I don't give a damn what they call it as long as there is someone around sober enough to pour it without spilling:alright: Forty Creek is a fine rye ... goes well with hockey, ice fishing, whale blubber, and moose burgers ... :D And, of course, sounds from the sky.

By the way, do you need a glass, or do we just pass the bottle, Canadian style.;):D

'Weird sounds in the sky' reports have increased in recent weeks and the phenomenon is reflected in the record of google searches here -
Google Trends: strange sounds
This video provides a sample of the sky sounds reported.

1/16/2012 -- 'Strange sounds' heard WORLDWIDE -- Stay Alert and BE PREPARED! - YouTube
Some people don't hear them. That doesn't mean they aren't being heard by others. We all know that there is a gadget called a 'mosquito' which is only audible to persons under 25.

If you hear anything, please mention it here.

Dr. Elchin Khalilov, a geophysicist has identified the likely causes here -
Scientist: ?Sounds of the Apocalypse? Are Real Phenomena! : Dateline Zero

extract -
“In both cases, even though the causes of acoustic-gravity waves are of a quite understandable geophysical nature, they are indicative of the expected significant increase in solar activity and the geodynamic activity of our planet. There is no doubt that processes in the core rule the internal energy of our planet, therefore, we should expect by the end of 2012 a sharp rise in strong earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis and extreme weather events with peak levels in 2013 – 2014.”

About as much chance as North Korea or Iran, setting a big bang off, probably get same result.
