I'm a Happy Camper

I'm a happy camper ... if fact, it looks like we are a nation of happy contented folks. Maybe having great beer, quality dope, and hockey has a lot to do with it.

Canada ranks 5th on 'happiness' survey - World - CBC News

You guys happy on that side of the pond?

Yes.

:)

Plus, we can pop over to see friends, anywhere in the country, the same day.

When we walk in the woods we don't need to worry about stepping in bear's business.

Though dog dirt might still be a problem.

:D

Always been suspicious of surveys, they can be manipulated any way in my view.

Be happy, that we came 18th.

:D

Are we having fun yet? Britain comes 18th in UN's first World Happiness Report... BEHIND Costa Rica, Israel and UAE | Mail Online

Apparently we're happiest...when we're off work.

:D

Britons strive for happier work-life balance - FT.com

I think we'd have scored much higher, if they'd have taken into account what makes us happiest in this country.

Having a little moan.

Indeed ... and it looks like you guys rate high on the happiness list too.

Maybe it's sometimes better to have friends and family at a distance, though. And the bear poop isn't as much of a problem as the bear that dumped it.;)

Well I must be the happiest person around, at least on Accyweb, if my reputation for being a grumbler is justified! :(:o

As a Canadian living in the Uk since 1989 - I'd chose the UK anytime. Canadians have a better quality of life generally, but their 'happiness' bugs me. Sorry Eric...

Problem is, it isn't justified ... so you will have to find some other basis for happiness.;)

The tories may end up scanning our Internet Posts - to ascertain if we are Happy!

If not they may say "We Have ways of making You HAPPY!" :alright:

I did actually write 'visit relatives', but changed it to 'friends'.

Happily you get to choose them.

If you have friends who don't make you happy, you can simply bin 'em.

On a serious note, personally I've never been as happy.

For some reason I'm always being asked 'How are you?'.

It's an unexpected chapter I'm living in life's book, but I can answer truthfully that I've never been happier.

Perhaps it's just a side-effect, from all the drugs I pop.

:rolleyes::eek::D

Oh Eric you say the sweetest things - I owe you one!

Someone on Accyweb thinks it though - I got some red K for suggesting I was thought of as grumpy, on the Clayton le Moors thread!

Of course the Canadians are happy people, all they've got to do is look over their border to the States & Bingo, smiles all round. :D

I don't think I met an unhappy/friendly Canadian when I was there all those years back, always seemed optimistic & pulled the best out of a situation somehow.

I'm suprised the good ol' U.S. of A. didn't fare better in the rankings.

You'd be hard-pressed to meet a more self-satisfied, smug nation.

Whoops.

Meant 'happy nation'.

Is that the thread where I called you a "silly moo";):D?

And my house guests are gone ... I really miss Molly:( ... I'd take her in a New York minute. Wouldn't worry about the red K ... it don't matter a hill of beans (old Canadian saying);).
