I have it on reliable authority that this was an in-house joke sketch created by the cast of Rainbow but never intended for viewing by anyone else least of all children. It has been circulating in America where people were told that it is the kind of children's program we make here!

When some American friends of mine saw it and told me how horrified they were at the type of thing we consider entertaining for our children I had to explain to them that this was never shown on TV here as a Rainbow episode.
