Its been a while since I used one in sync with needing to be somwhere. I cannot rely on them to get me to work on time. Now I am sure on the bus it says something like every thirteen minutes. So if that is the case, why was I am I often waiting 20-30 minutes. I walk most of the time now. If I am late and I have to catch one of those buses from the Town centre to Clayton is it £2.30. Might as well get a taxi for £3 or so

Doesn't it always seem like 3-4 buses pass on the other side of the road whilst you are waiting? I have also had two of them turning up at once, loads of times, Always after waiting ages. Do they stop and meet up at Hyndburn Bridge for a pint??

One particular time I put out my hand and the bus stopped. I then realised it was the wrong bus. I was going to Church from the H&H in Clayton and this one was just going into town-- That was one of those two buses turning up at once days.... I ended up missing the other bus as it drove right passed.

been told that Transdev don't intend losing any money from people not buying bus passes anymore because of the route change, they are putting their fares up to cover their loss.....makes me so 'kin mad.....they have a win win situation

As far as I can gather they are also stopping all service 6&7 buses from seven pm as of 18th of September. So as far as I can see anybody living in Great Harwood has no bus service after seven pm. The excuse for axing the service was that it wasn't being used but when I caught the twenty minutes past nine bus from Blackburn on Saturday night there were between twenty and thirty people on board. Seems to me they don't give a toss about how their decisions will impact on peoples lives!!!!

There has been a u-turn with this issue, Lancashire conty council are now going to subsidise the route. So evening buses will run apart from on Sundays:)

Wonderful, more council tax payers money being given to private firms to run non cost effective services. Maybe they could try and make it cost effective by using smaller vehicles less often

Smaller vechiles would be the obvious answer but seeing as they've just bought new can't see that happening any time soon. One of the suggestions that was offered was that they reversed the service each hour running it Blackburn, Oswaldtwisle, Accrington, Clayton, Harwood, Rishton one hour then Blackburn, Rishton etc the other hour. Leaving people without any service at all is ludicrous, some students are still at college at the time they were proposing to stop the buses.
