My Wife

I have been with my wife for 22 years. I love her more than anything. I am the luckiest man on this planet. She is beautiful.

Why do you feel you have to share that with us? Do you want to talk about it, has she sent you to the shed?

Nice sentiments, Claytoner. Alter the "22" for "26" and I would say exactly the same words. But why did you suddenly feel the need to tell us?

When I was 10 I had a crush on Pamela F. I asked her for a kiss. She said no, so I transferred my affections elsewhere. She had buck teeth anyway.

Indeed we are, Claytoner, and I'm sure there are many other lucky blokes and ladies on here in the same position! :)

Yeah, but that's what we'd all say! Nice to see a happy thread though. Makes a change from the doom and gloom stuff posted by some (including me!). :skiss:

Thanks Sugarmouse. It may sound like a cliche but she makes my life complete. I've loved her since the first day I spoke to her. She still makes my heart jump when I see her.

It's for the wife. She's feeling a little flat at the moment. I'm trying to find the puncture.

Congratulations...and well done. I like to hear of these life successes. So many people today think that marriage is disposable and will ditch it rather than repair it.
I hope you have many more happy years ahead of you.

No, He's a cheapskate, it costs less to apologise on here for whatever he's done wrong, than a bucket of flowers and a box of chocolates!
:D

I too have one of these models, had mine 24 years in feb, getting a bit squeaky in places, the odd rust spot here and there, but minimum maintenance is required, economical, 0-60 is a bit slow, but once it's up there, it's a comfy ride,

And as you, wunt swop it for nowt!

Maybe I need to get my specs changed....I didn't see an apology....just a public declaration of what his wife means to him.:)

Had mine for 39 years now and was thinking of trading her in for a newer model but got used to the moans and hissy fits she has now and again she is very understanding i just blame Less for keeping me in the Railway and she understands and everything is fine again:D
so might keep her another few years yet:D:D

Of course you didn't you're a woman, he knows he's in bother, the rest of us blokes know he's in bother, some of us even know that this just won't cut that 'I'm going to make you suffer' atmosphere he's trying to break through.
:D

At least I'm only blamed by you for keeping you at the pub.

One guy I met at a place I was working invited me and the missus for a night out with him and his 'partner', we had a great night and met up for regular nights out, until his 'real' wife turned up on my doorstep demanding to see her swine of a husband that supposedly spent the weekends over at my house, he was actually over at his lovers.
We had thought his lover was his wife!

44 years with my second wife, still going strong.

Last two years have been very hard for us because of her bad health but she looked after me all those years so I will not let her down now.

My parents have been together 35 years as of a few weeks ago, married since I was conceived (for no other reason than they did not want me to be a born out of wedlock). It does make me happy-even though I wish they were not QUITE so happy (having had to listen to them, erm, loving one another of a night, every time I stay over...
